Good true Fit YAMAHA quality
The part was correct. You need marine grease to aid in the install. I used a piece of insulated wire to help hold the impellers in the correct diameter so the cap would go back down over the impeller blades. You need to turn the shaft clockwise while holding pressure down on the cap to get the blades in the correct position. Part was a exact fit and hopefully will look good 2 years from now when it will be replaced. Pump works great giving me a strong water circulation.

Everything worked great fit fine 1998 115 yahama 2 stroke.

This unit, although correct cross reference to Yamaha DOES NOT fit the F40 4 stroke
I changed my rating from a 1. The kit came with the wrong impeller. They were all about making it right and are sending the right impeller for my F40TRLAAll the components were OK except the impeller. It was about 1/8" too big in diameter and would have immediately sheared over the keyway. Impeller unusable.A true shame it wasn't right. All the rest of the parts were fine and it is a complete kit otherwise.

Impeller is garbage. It will fail on you, don't buy this.
This impeller looks identical to the Yamaha original, but I assure you it is not. I had two of them fail in a row. Both similar to another reviewer where the drive shaft spun lose of the keyway. I thought I had done something wrong and replaced the first failed impeller with another impeller from this same provider. That failed last week after only about 30 hours. In the second failure (picture attached), it not only spun lose from the shaft, it pretty much disintegrated. Both times, the impeller had less than 50 hours on it and failed at full speed on plane.I just replaced the second one with a Yamaha OEM part and even though they look identical, you can tell very quickly they are not. This aftermarket one is MUCH firmer on the fins. That means it will create a substantially higher amount of friction and eventually cause the unit to fail. For the small price difference do yourself a favor and just buy the Yamaha impeller.

Only used one part out of the kit for 50 hp yamaha.

Great value
I found the impellor to be incorrect for this motor even though it was listed for it. I noticed after a short trip when backing off the throttle found no telltale water from the head.I then compared this impellor with a genuine one and found it was 1mm in diameter smaller!!!Fitted the genuine one and all good.
