Simply Astounding - Exceeds Expectations
Prior to purchasing this product, I was a tad skeptical as I did not want to pay almost 30K for a pair of headphones. However, on further research and after reading many reviews, I decided to go for it, and after finally getting it, I am convinced that it's worth it. Let me tell you why... I purchased the silver one - purely for aesthetic reasons.. it looks great when compared to the black one, which in my opinion is just too plain. Truth be told, it is not exactly silver, more of a mixture between cream white and grey. The headphones are made out of a very good quality plastic, the inner structure is metal, and the headphone earcups are made of a very soft and comfortable leather. I would recommend wiping off any sweat or perspiration that accumulates on the leather earcups because pure leather starts flaking over time when exposed to moisture, but it's nothing to worry about too much. Comfort - 10/10 - There are many reviews which say that the fit is tight and that it makes the ears sweat. This is not entirely true, which these headphones have a slightly tighter fit as compared to the Bose QC 35s, it is not uncomfortable at all. I found it a lot more comfortable in comparison to many other headphones I have used in the past. It's slight tightness is for a very good reason - to seal the sound in. If you take the Bose QC35s, they have a looser fit and are more comfortable, but the sound bleeds very badly, and is often embarrassing because it would disturb people sitting around you, this is not a problem with the Sonys as the sound would not bleed unless you use it at the highest volume and even then, just a little sound can be heard by others. The leather earcups are extremely comfortable as well on ear, and their quality is just plush and pristine. Noise Cancellation - 10/10 - The noise cancellation on these headphones are supposed to be the #1 industry standard out there, and this is justified, because after testing it out, it does block out almost 80% of all surrounding ambient noise. This is leagues ahead of the Bose QC35 noise cancellation. The Bose's noise cancellation has a cabin pressure like feel, it gets uncomfortable after a while and gives you a mild headache and sometimes makes your ears pop - just like when you're sitting in a plane, these Sony headphones on the other hand, block out the noise so effectively and efficiently that you don't feel a thing. Sound quality - 10/10 - I'm speechless when it comes to the sound quality on this, it is simply astounding. I absolutely love how Sony allows you to customise the sound - based on YOUR preference. In other words if I want to listen to a song with good bass, all I have to do is enable bass boost sound settings on the app and I can enjoy amazing, trembling bass. On the other hand if I want to listen to a more vocal pop song, I can change the setting on the app and be treated to an amazing vocal performance. This whoops the Bose QC35's a** as Bose does not have any equaliser to change the sound settings. Basically with Bose - what you hear is what you get. Battery Backup - 10/10 - I kid you not, I listened to music for close to an hour, and when I checked the battery, it said 100%, not even kidding, dead serious. It easily gives you 30 + hours (with NC active), and perhaps more than 35 without. Touch controls - 9/10 - the touch controls are really amazing as well, but they require patience to learn and will take you a while to get accustomed to their usage, once you get a hang of it, they are really nice. In the box - one pair of headphones, one 6 inch usb C charging cable WITHOUT adapter and one headphone jack. I would recommend downloading the Sony Headphone Connect app while setting up these headphones for best results. You can use it without the app as well, but you're missing out on amazing sound personalisation and customisation if you choose not to get it. My final verdict - if you can afford it, go for it. Highly recommended!

Amazing at almost all things this headphone is expected to do
Really happy with these after an internal struggle to choose between these and the Bose QC35s. Read on for my experience. These look no-nonsense, professional and very premium at the same time. The copper highlights in the black model make it look really expensive. Bose QC 35 has been around for so long and we've gotten used to seeing it for so much that is becomes difficult to really assess if they are actually pretty looking. But these Sony ones surely tick that box. Sound Quality of these Sonys is magnificient. Movie watching is extremely immersive. Sound engineers spend a lot of time adding bits of sounds to scenes that add to the atmosphere and these headphones catch so much more of these that the immersion is at a new level. Once you get used to these, you will want to figure out how to project your phone onto the TV but continue to have the audio channeled through the headphones (and yes, there are a few hacks to do this). The noise canceling is great too. While it is not a magic pill for all making all sounds go away, it does a much better job than the Bose. If you just let it be on noise canceling without playing anything, a few sounds do filter in (a significantly muted fan overhead, gentle hum of car running, gentle clacking of keyboards, etc). But if you play anything at all, everything else vanishes away, probably to the annoyance of folks at your home who have to yell or come and physically shake you up. I can't claim to have done a real strong testing of Bose vs Sonys (except at a few stores for a few mins) but all reviews online agree on Sony being much better. While I can't confirm that based on personal experience, what I can do confirm is the Sonys do a terrific job at it. The Sony gimmicks of touch features (that Bose has now copied into its 700 model) are very handy. I use the volume increase skipping tracks and the "cupping the headphone to go into ambient mode" a lot. Especially if you intend to use the headphones a fair bit around other people that you may need to converse with now and then, that feature is super neat. For long duration wearability, I would think the Bose would win it. I havent really tried the Bose for longer than a few mins but the pressure it exerts on your head is much lesser.. the Bose just feels super gentle on your head whereas the clamping force of these Sonys are a little higher for sure. But the quality of foam and cushioning on these Sonys is extremely good. The clamping is more the result of headband material design but it is what it is. Eventually, if you primarily care about a great experience with the headphones, I can confirm you wont regret buying this Sony. On the other hand, if owning the Bose brand matters more to you, go for it. I cant imagine you would regret that either.

A perfect Headphone!
This is the best Noise Cancelling headphone I have used till date. Very first I received a faulty piece. I heard a minor crackling sound ans tried troubleshooting. Later I searched and seeded help on sony forums and I gotta know there were a few pieces with same complain out in market but Amazon was generous enough to get it replaced after a complain and the procedure was easy. Got it replaced within 2days - Bass is more compared to other headphones and doesn’t interrupt the sound quality. - For Bass lovers i would suggest sony Extra Bass series -NC will suppress most of the annoying sound and completely cancel wind/AC/Fan or airplane engine sound. It will suppress sounds but you will be able to hear industrial noises, baby crying, Loud TV/Speakers when not playing anything... - It does give a good battery life and quick charging - Headphones are comfortable and doesnt put any pressure on top of your head or to your ears. You can easily wear it for hours. But in hot climate like India you will need to remove them for a while as it will sweat and that does cause lot of wear and tear to ear cushions. Ear cushions are easily available and replaceable. -Sound is so precise and clear you can hear Manjira/Jalra/Clash Cymbals clearly in a Bhajan. - These are not perfect for gaming. You can use them for gaming but there are better options for gaming -Connected to my Amazon echo dot makes things more easy. -360 audio isn’t perfect but yes perfect compared to other headphones out there Every penny you spend on these is worth

These are rock stars. I owned a pair for 18 months before this purchase until a pit bull decided to use them as a chew toy. Soundwise they are wonderful but they do have a bit of a pronounced low mid range. If your ears aren't refined, these will likely be the best sounding headphones you've heard. The battery life is so long that it doesn't occur to me to charge them because it's so long between charges. Of course when they eventually die I have to lol. Oh, the noise canceling. The best, bar none unless there have been some new developments elsewhere. These are almost like being in a sound isolation booth. There is also the ability to fine tune them to be even more efficient at blocking your particular surroundings. I can't recommend these enough. The one bad thing. There is this really dumb touch control system on one headphone which requires super powers to work properly so I just don't use it but every once in a while it can be accidentally pressed and a song will get skipped which is really annoying. Other than that, love 'em.

I also ordered a Bose Quiet Comfort 35 II limited edition. The idea was to keep the Bose and gift this one but after comparison, I stuck with this one, the Sony. The Bose does allow connection to 2 devices that you can switch between but it doesn't always work and then you have to disconnect and restart all the apps and Bluetooth so I don't mind connecting to one device at a time with the Sony. The touchpad is much more of a minute to minute feature I use and I love that I can cover one ear to pause the noise cancellation and have a quick conversation I got it in a great color-beige, creamy and I love the touchpad

The NC is better than the airpods pro, when you start to move the NC auto off, and stay still the NC on. Sweet. Fast delivery.

I'm an average consumer and I bought these headphones mainly so I can sleep better (snoring partner) and for air travel. I don't have much knowledge regarding sound technicalities but from an average consumer's point of view, these are great and I am blown away by how freakin' great the noise cancelling features are. I don't think I can live without it. I can't stand earplugs and I don't think I'll ever go back to it. This is worth the money. Seriously.
