This Stuff Is Pretty Good
Full Disclosure: I do not have diabetes. It does run in my family however. Both of my parents developed diabetes in their 60s and 70s. We also have a history of having dry, papery skin that appears in our lower legs and ankles. Some even develop ulcers there. I’m getting older and noticing a thinning of my skin on my lower legs and feet. I had an ulcer there a few years back after surgery. I’ve been thinking of doing some Preemptive practices in taking better care of my legs and feet. I saw this product on Amazon and it ticked many of the boxes as far as ingredients are concerned, plus it is fragrance free, you get a lot of product, and at a very attractive price point. Also it said it could be used on the face and I was experiencing some dryness and irritation on my face from adapalene. I didn’t have high expectations for this but this product worked very well, and very quickly. My lower legs were papery and discolored. I put this on and an hour later I could see a significant difference, both on my legs and on my face. The discoloration is still there but the overall texture and feel of my skin is much improved with only two days of use. As I said before, I do not have diabetes and the condition of my skin was not severe - but this helped in ways other products did not. It seems to really get in and soften up that papery layer. The leg that had the surgery tends to show flakiness more than the other. I followed this up with a layer of healing ointment on that leg and it’s almost like nothing ever happened there. Really groovy. When I put this on my face it did sting on the dry irritated areas but it worked. I don’t find it to be greasy at all. This is a nice find.

Skin feels so much better - even on first application
This cream is amazing - whether you are diabetic or not. My hands and feet get very dry in the winter. With the first application I could feel my skin drinking up all the moisture. I immediately felt more comfortable with that first application. This is the first day that I’ve used it, but it feels so much different than other products. I will update this post as I continue to use this. It’s a bit pricey, but I find that just a little bit is needed. It is immediately absorbed into the skin and leaves no greasy film. It is odorless too, which, at least for me, is a big plus.

Great stuff! Highly recommend
I am insulin dependent diabetic, tho I have no foot issues, my concern of future problems is worrisome. I use this cream after every shower from the knees down and elbows. Little goes a long way, not greasy, no smell, but my cat runs for the hills when I put it on my hands. I highly recommend.

Decent non-greasy light or mid weight moisturizer
So, I ordered this as a hopeful dupe for the Eucerin Urea Repair face cream. I will shorten this to EUR for the duration of my review. Skin concerns: mid-40s. rosacea on cheeks, nose, eyes. Dry skin type, mild seborrheic dermatitis if I don’t use an active AHA to help shuffle it off at times. Arid climate with cold winters. Contrasting and comparing: This does have a noticeable scent. I suspect it is from the bilberry extract and potentially honestly from the sugar maple extract despite how far down the ingredients list it is. The scent is not medicinal, artificial, perfumey, or intrusive, nor is it unpleasant, I was just surprised by it. I would describe it as sweet, but neither fruity nor candy, I honestly do think the maple is what I am catching a scent of. It’s hard to describe! This is neither a negative nor a positive for me, it’s just an interesting aspect. EUR does not have any scent at all. The texture is a little greasy feeling on application, but doesn’t retain this feeling long - it appears to absorb quickly or dry down quickly. I would definitely say as a result this is a lightweight or medium weight moisturizer. This would make a fine day moisturizer if the softness isn’t from any kind of a mattifying agent that doesn’t play nice with sunscreen or foundation. I don’t think this has much in the way of even 12 hours of moisturization, or at least not on my skin. EUR initially has a bit of dry or perhaps waxy drag that gives way to a long-duration barrier with staying power that I get 24+ hours out of on my lazy apartment gremlin days. Visibly this isn’t dewy or shiny. EUR is visibly dewy to shiny but not oil slick greasy. This does seem to be stinging my skin and not just the rosacea areas, I’m feeling it on my forehead too, where I do not have rosacea. I’m also feeling it on the backs of my hands which are currently sensitized from an accidental exposure to a strong cleaner (Oxyclean, you magnificent devil!) This is my second time using it, I was hoping that I was reacting to my new-to-me micellar water, but that is unfortunately not the case. I haven’t used an AHA in a few weeks, so I’m not putting it on potentially sensitive areas that don’t tend to be sensitive on my off weeks. I was concerned when I saw the extract profile, but I decided to try it anyway given the value for volume. I will not continue to use this due to the clear reaction. EUR does not sting my skin at all, even immediately post AHA treatment. The tube is 8 oz, which is crazy for how little it costs. If this doesn’t sting your skin and isn’t too lightweight for your skin concerns, this value is absolutely bananas. EUR is over 12x per ounce more costly currently (October 2025) Overall I think this is a good moisturizer for average users. If you have sensitized skin from a compromised barrier, rosacea, or EO sensitivities or allergies, I suggest trying a different one with a less suspect ingredient list. I am glad I tried it out given the incredible value for the cost! I wish it was going to give me what I need from a face moisturizer. Give this a shot! If it doesn’t work for your face it may be fine for your body or pass it along to someone else after letting them try it first to make sure they’re not sensitive to the ingredient list. I see many reviews from others with sensitive skin that indicate it is great for them, so I am definitely an exceptional case. Is this an EUR dupe? Unfortunately no. Would I buy again? Unfortunately no. Would I recommend anyone try it if they are looking for a non-greasy lightweight face moisturizer? Yes. A major note: the urea % is not listed anywhere, not even CeraVe’s official website. I do not, therefore, know if the stinging I’m experiencing is perhaps from a higher percent urea than EUR, which is 5%. I have never tried a moisturizer with a higher percentage than 5, at least not to my knowledge! 4/5, I feel it is a quality moisturizer at an amazing price from a brand I trust, it’s just not what I personally need performance wise.

Can be used for face
Only thing that I've found I can use on my face that will help the scaliness and make it soft without clogging my doors and making me break out. Makes the whole body soft
