It's also important to remember that when we get lazy thinking that the project isn't worthy of our time and attention, someone else could easily step in and complete it while we're taking the proverbial "nap".Dave mentioned during the lesson that he had to read the fable several times before he finally "Got it." We love this book! This classic tale is supremely illustrated and retold. The kids love spotting the tortoise way in the background as the hare stops off for snacks and a nap. It’s one we’ll read and reread.

Age-old story with a valuable lesson

I love this book. I love the story line and the lesson in it. It’s appropriate for any age group. I’m adding it to the reading library and nook I’m building for my son. The images are perfect for reading along with a child.

Happy to read this book that champions hard work and perseverance to my two young sons.

Great book, great story, exactly what I was wanting. This is the exact book Dave Ramsey uses in his Financial Peace University class. I highly recommend this book just for the story but the color and illustration is great as well.

I ordered these as graduation gifts for my FPU class which I've been doing for the last 6 or 7 years. I ordered several extra of these as it seems the Tortoise and the Hare comes and goes in print. A few years back I had to order several different used versions and nothing was available new. These were a hit with my recent class and I hope the publisher continues to keep them in stock.

I got this book at the suggestion of Dave Ramsey who said one of his mentors read it to all of his kids, grandkids, etc. I thought about it and realized it was the perfect book for my son who is very much into winning at the moment. I realized this taught a good lesson to him and since we've gotten the book we read it each night and he loves the message within the book. So glad I got it and what a timeless fable.

Perfect book we are sending to our grandson in New Zealand.

Another great picture book by Janet Stevens. I enjoy this retelling of Aesop's fable.
