Kalos Roto Tom Drum Set with Stand, 6-Inch, 8-Inch and 10-Inch Tom Drums with Stand

While it is true that the drum heads don't match up with the "out of the box" experience as Remo Rototoms, the sound is quite good and the heads are affordable enough to replace with Remo pinstripes, etc. The quality of the stand appears to be very good so far and the drums themselves are delivering the same experience as I've always had with Remo Rototoms of the past. I highly recommend this product as a VERY inexpensive way to expand your drum kit range and experience.

I got these a couple of days ago. They are exactly what I wanted to expand my kit. I had a set of remo's that were stolen and didn't have enough money to replace them. These are exactly the same thing for much less $$$! The remo's might have been a little smoother to tune up and down but I tuned these in a couple of most minutes and once they are to my liking I don't mess with them. They are just as heavy duty as the others and sound the same. If you want to expand your kit, buy tnese before they go up or gone!

First, I could have sworn I looked to see where they were manufactured and disappointed when the box said made in china. I tried to look this up on the internet, couldn't find it. Other kalos companies,,, all that being said. the roto toms a pretty nice. I have owned Remo previously and these seem to compare. maybe cheapened a little, but they assy easy, sound great, work like they should. what else do you say.

I felt the Roto tom was always a unique drum back in the 70'ds. When I choose to build my drum set, I wanted to bring them back as my kit grew. I bought 2 sets fashioned in a "V" over edrums. They are fantastic, breaking the mold of today's acoustic set ups.very easy to tune by rotation plus a key and they look awesome!!. I'm a percussionist and adrummer. This was the icing on th set up. By a set for your 5 drums .placed on the right location, they will bring out your set to a new level. I may buy a 3rd set to place behind me since my set is 360 degrees. Good product for the cost. The stand could be a little more sturdy, but the toms sound good.

The stand and drum frames seem quite sturdy. The heads were very thin and needed to be replaced to achieve the sound I was looking for - went with Remo black dots.Unfortunately, on my set the 10" roto tom bolt seized up after just a few months of use and now only turns a small degree in either direction. I tried reaching out for product support but the link provided by Amazon directs to a non-existent page.

It took me literally 15 minutes to inbox and assemble these rotos. They sound great and are a great addition to my 6 piece drum set. Now I can play some Rush and sound more like the original recordings. My advice is to tune them to the first 4 notes of the Jeopardy theme song. Have fun!
