Top notch Stephen King addition
I have all the Dark Tower graphic novels, and think they are amazing. The artwork is incredibly detailed, the coloring sublime and the stories fantastic.Robin Furth's heavy involvement in these graphic novels is much appreciated, as she is probably the most knowledgeable person on earth regarding the Dark Tower world, with the possible exception of Stephen King.

true fan
any true fan of the dark tower series will enjoy this. Haven't got a chance to actually read it but as soon as i get a free minute will be my first goal. Only issue is i wish there were more stories and didn't have to wait so long to be able to read them.

Minus one star for not being hardcover!
Sad to see the Marvel Dark Tower end. I was disappointed that the final volume wasn't hardcover to match the others. I am very sad to see that so far there are no plans to adapt the other novels of Stephen Kings Dark Tower series. A friend and I have always speculated that at the end of the novels Roland has the Horn of Eld this time around so we wonder if the story would end differently if he blows upon it at the gates of the Dark Tower. I would of loved to see these comics expand upon that. This collection is a two part Sheemie tale, a two part tale of Roland's first Ka-tet attack on Farson's men, and a one part tale of Arthur Eld and the fall of Lord Perth. All are good one shot stories but to see this series end without adapting the books is a real shame. One can only hope that there will be more in the future. I have to admit I didn't picture the Lord Perth story like it is adapted in this collection when I first read the novels. It is a retelling of David and Goliath so that the idea of one man taking on insurmountable odds can overcome adversity.

Lunghi giorni e piacevoli notti.

Softcover only

The last volume of the series...
Dark Tower: The Gunslinger: Last Shots is the last volume in The Gunslinger series. The volume collects stories previously published in comic form from Marvel Comics and retains its usual high standard of story-telling and artwork. Cannot fault!Unfortunately, when I saw the volume priced at £14.99, I purchased the book thinking it had finally been released in hardback, and would conclude my series of previous hardbacks I had collected off Amazon. However, when the book arrived, I was disappointed to discover that I had paid the hardback price for a soft cover book. This is not the fault of Amazon because they clearly advertise the book as paperback, but my fault entirely for making the wrong assumption. The previous hardback editions of Dark Tower look great on the shelf but this final paperback looks wrong. Shame on Marvel for not issuing this final volume in hardback but thanks to Amazon for making the book available.
