Works perfectly! Save some money and buy this one.
I purchased this for my Kenwood TH-D74A amateur radio portable. After spending several hundred dollars on Kenwood factory equipment just to get a new portable running saving some money on the rarely used vehicle power cord is nice. The factory PG3 is like $40. Typically it's best to stick with factory gear especially on things like batteries, internals, and so on. But if you can save money on a power cord do it.This one is nice too, just as nice as any Kenwood, Yaesu, or Icom vehicle power cord. The lead has a nice thick shield, a one piece ferrite bead, a solid head with fuse and smoothing regulator... Even a spare fuse. I tested it on a power supply and in my vehicle with a multimeter and it's good to go.With all the money Kenwood made off me with the new radio I really don't feel bad for buying aftermarket. For what we pay for portable radios a portable charger should just be included... At least an extra lead so we can make one.

Connector plug too big for good fit
For the kenwood th-D75A the size of the plug is too big and it may appear to be plugged in but it is not making a good connection. I had to put a rubber band around the plug and the radio to keep it connected and powering the radio. So I decided to return it and get the real kenwood adapter.
