Superb Book
I bought the first edition of this years back, and the revised edition is full of added extras that are really nice. Simon Bradley is an overall awesome guy and I am glad he is part of the Red Special community.

My son loves it
My queen obsessed teen requested this book for Christmas. You should have seen his face when he opened it. He spent the entire day going through it and showing us all different things in it. I would have to say, an excellent purchase. Very detailed from what I was shown.

Great for guitar nerds & the mechanically/electrically minded
For those of us who have dabbled with guitar mechanics/electrics, see how the job is done properly! A testament to Brian & his father & a somewhat lost time now when people did things at home in their own workshops through simple application of knowledge, re-using parts, the ability to try & fail, but in the end produce something that is clearly unique & probably the best electric guitar ever made.

A fascinating read
Brian May's guitar - how could you write a book about that? It's a fascinating mix of how the guitar came about, how Brian when much younger and his dad assembled it in his workshop, and where some of the components were salvaged from! The plenty of interesting information and pictures of how the construction of the Red Special, which the scientist in me found intriguing!

Great for a fan or guitar builder
I am a huge Queen fan, and have been learning guitar. This book inspired me to start making my own guitars and has some good insight in to the process. It also has enough detail that when I am confident enough to make a red special inspired guitar, I'll be able to incorporate some of the actual methods that Brian used to make his!
