Strong, sturdy, whisper quiet, great features
UPDATE: added seat pictures for the person who asked if the seat could be swapped out.ORIGINAL REVIEW:This is exactly the bike I wanted. I had an evaluation session with a personal trainer, and all I was doing at the time was running for exercise. She told me I needed to mix things up and try doing a spinning class at least once a week. In my previous job, I was able to go to a spinning class at the gym at 11 a.m. once per week. Then I started a new job and couldn't do that anymore, so I wanted to get a spinning bike for home. The first bike I had at home was recommended by my spinning class instructor. It was a LeMond Revmaster. It was very sturdy and worked great. What I missed were the metrics I got from the bike computers on the spinning bikes at the gym, specifically the indication of power output in watts. The LeMond had a simple twist-dial resistance mechanism that wasn't calibrated, so I couldn't consistently set it to a given power output, and it tended to squeak and make it untenable for anyone else to be in the basement when I was riding the bike. So I started looking for a new bike. The first bike I bought was another big-name brand that starts with Nor and ends in track. It was a total lemon. It was unstable and wobbly. It had no fly-wheel weight, so you couldn't comfortably stand up and pedal. Although it indicated power output in watts, it wouldn't show you a GRAPH of power output or offer any workouts based on power output. Their app with iFit was fundamentally flawed in that the graphs and workouts were all based on "speed" from RPM, which is artificial and doesn't take into account resistance and how hard you were working. Their app was unstable and crashed frequently, and they wanted you to sign up for their monthly subscription service like the other big-name internet-connected spinning bike that begins with Pel and ends in Ton. It took a lot of time and effort, but I finally got that company to take back their wobbly piece of junk and give me a refund. So I started shopping around again. The Keiser looked strange to me in the pictures on the internet. I thought it would be wobbly. I found a local gym that had the Keiser, and I went and asked them if I could just check it out. It seemed pretty sturdy to me, so I bought one. Thanks to the other reviews here on Amazon, I did NOT pay for the "expert assembly" and I assembled it myself. As it turns out, I had most of the tools already. I only needed the crows feet, which were a pain to get the two specific sizes they needed. Assembly was pretty simple. The directions are well-written. Other people here have posted here that Keiser has a good video to help with assembly, too, but I didn't need the video.I've used the Keiser M3i bike (UPDATED 11/1/2020) SEVERAL days per week for over a year now, and I like it A LOT. It's leaps and bounds better than the previous lemon I bought.+ It's very solid and sturdy. It doesn't wobble at all.+ It has a good size weighted fly-wheel, so you can stand-up and pedal.+ It has magnetic resistance and barely makes a whisper of noise.+ The resistance control is very simple and calibrated to show you a number of what "gear" you're in on the display.+ The display shows you your RPM, Power output in Watts, Heartrate (using Polar HRM), "gear" (resistance setting), calories burned, and distance.+ The app on my phone shows me a graph of my power and heartrate vesus time and keeps a record of my work stats.-- Minor downside: They don't automatically sync up the data with MapMyFitness, but they DO export the data in TCX file format, which you can manually import to MapMyFitness. I can see all my workout stats on MapMyFitness from downloading the TCX file.Overall, I'm VERY pleased with this Keiser bike. This was money well spent.

Best stationary/spin bike I've owned
Have use ~2 times a week for about 2 years now. Operates smoothly and quiet due to magnetic resistance; will never go back to a bike that uses pads that wear out. Like the design that is sturdy and solid; looks great too. App has a nice selection of workouts and connects easily to bike via Bluetooth. It is a bit pricey since a higher end item, but you get what you pay for and likely will last for many many years with little maintenance. A great investment in your health. Replaced the seat that came with it swapping with one slightly wider and more padded, which was an easy swapp out.

I love my Keiser M3i.
Assembly of the Keiser m3i was easy, but the packaging took over an hour to remove. A lower corner of the packaging was torn off when delivered, but the double level packaging assured that no cycle components were damaged. The M3i makes no sound I can hear in use, is very comfortable to ride, and has needed no repairs since purchase. The unique design or the crank arms has increased my upper leg muscle strength.Use of the industry standard pedal and seat attachments has allowed simple replacement of those items to meet my specific needs. The supplied computer provides all the data I want to evaluate my exercise, including current and average ride rpm, accumulated ride kilo calories, ride time, ride miles, and life time odometer.Odometer on my M3i indicated over 16000 miles in July 2023. When purchased, I only rode the M3i about 3 times a week, alternating with road cycles and other forms of exercise. Currently I ride the M3i 18 odom. miles every day I am home. I am the sole user.I am over 80 years old, was an active road cyclist from age 5 to age 78 but ended road riding in 2021 because of heat prostration (most days here reach over 90 degrees). Now, any exercise has to be in air conditioning. I cannot stand or walk without crutches or other support or control my ankle, which means my feet must be placed on cycle pedals centered under my heels with foot angled upwards on outside edge. Because of this I cannot use cycle shoes or the Keiser pedals but must wear flat soled shoes on flat pedals. Leg injuries require that i wear tight padded cycle shorts when sitting on a cycle saddle.I was an active outdoor cyclist from age 5 to 79, and have owned and used many types, brands and qualities of road cycles, as well as other exercise devices such as fan and friction resistance indoor cycles, other cycle exercise machines and other exercise devices (weight lifting and treadmill). All have now been discarded. The M3i far exceeds them all in quality and design, an better fits my current needs.

100% Worth the expense, More reliable than a Peloton, No monthly fee
At face value, this may seem like a very expensive item to purchase. And it is, no doubt about it. But as the old saying goes: "You get what you pay for." This is a gym quality stationary bike and it shows in the way it is manufactured. Everything about this bike seems to have been well designed and is extremely sturdy and durable. The bike is shipped in a large, heavy box and there is some assembly required. However, it took me less than an hour to have everything put together and have the ability to take the bike for a "spin". The instructions were well written. When you ride this bike it is whisper quiet! THis is great for the apartment setting I currently live in where I don't want to disturb the neighbors. And while the bike is heavy, it is very easy to maneuver around with the wheels that are built into the frame. The best part is after you pay for and assemble the bike there are no added subscriptions to worry about or monthly fees, software updates, or worrying about your bike not being supported anymore (I'm looking at you Peloton). While this was a big expense, I am glad I took the plunge. You should too! This purchase is a one-way ticket to a more healthy, more physically fit YOU!
