Does not live up to the claims
The first thing I noticed was the tooling marks. This product was described as "mirror [smooth]" and and had a product photo showing a reflective finish. The product I recieved was nowhere near smooth. I should have returned it, but I foolishly thought I might be able to save it by lapping the IHS myself. Unfortuneately, the tooling marks were deep enough that this ended up being a disaster of wasted time and money.Furthermore, the description says the product "has been passivated, will not be oxided and corroded anymore." Well, that's also not true. It tarnished quickly from the oils on my hands (and I was careful to wash them). In the end, it perfromed worse than the stock aluminum. I wonder if this is as "pure" as it claims. Even tiny amounts of other metals can alter the performance wildly.

IT'S BEEN 7 MONTHS!!!!!
It's been 7 months and this has not been disappointing in the slightest. My intelcore i5 9600k has been overclocked at 4.02 Ghz while using the i9 stock cooler since it also has a copper core, so I could do some liquid cooling. I've been able to game and stream and never go over °75c this whole time. This was worth the money and time.

Amazing performance but not fully flat.
My 8086k went for reaching mid 90 degrees to 69 under full stress load. I polished it before installing and it reveal that it was not flat on one side but the performance was not affected, plus it looks awesome. It give new life to an old cpu. Plenty of room for overclocking now.

Used with a 7700K.
I delidded my 7700K and used this plate with conductonaut. This was for use in a very small form factor case (the Ghost S1). On stock settings with the noctua NH L9x65 i'm idling at low 30s. Spreading the liquid metal on this was very easy and with the copper color it made it easier for me to tell i was covering the intended areas. It can be hard to tell sometimes with the stock IHS if i had a good layer or not because of the color. I used some liquid electrical tape to cover anything i thought was conductive on the chip. Sealed it back up with Permatex 82180.

Better voltage than IHS Stock
Excelent IHS, I got my 8700K 5.1GHz/4.9GHz RR NO AVX at 1.37v (delid with LM Thermalright Silver King). Combined with a cheap thermal paste (GD900) I got 59°C Delta during AIDA64 FPU, I live in Panamá and don't have an A/C. Highly recommended that IHS custom
