Well I leave mine setup in my home theater when I'm not using them for performance. You'll find that volume matching can be annoying when you consider the wide range of sound dynamics (quiet show to absurdly loud commercials) because you have to manually adjust the volume just right in the back of the speakers. Some high end A/V receivers may have a volume control function built into the audio pre-amp out relays so that you can still control the volume, however that may be a hard feature to find in the menu system. But there is the option of running a headphone to red and white audio cable (1/8 or 1/4 inch aux plug to RCA audio into the Yamaha cab) which could provide a nice full sound (on full range) and retain the volume control from your A/V receiver remote. I personally just hook mine up to my phone occasionally for music. Hope this helps.Robb
