that it works great
Most likely you must purchase extra adapters to fit your vehicle

Will do the job just fine with a little extra work.
I used this tow bar to tow a YJ Jeep (4200 lbs) from Pecos NM to Wichita Falls TX (just under 500 miles) we stopped periodically just to check everything out. Around the 300 mile mark I noticed a little bit of buckling on the driver's side but I think that was do to making a sharp turn to pull into a gas station. As far prep work I went ahead and bought lock washers along with red loctite after reading some had issues with some nuts bolts loosening I did not have an issue with that at all. If it wasn't for myself turning too sharp I don't think there would have been anything wrong at all. I think this tow bar will work great to tow any light weight vehicle a couple thousand miles as long as you use lock washers and loctite and keep a good eye on everything. I would buy this again but I don't need too after our trip the tow bar is still in good condition and could easily do another 500 mile trip.

Reese Towpower 7014200 Adjustable Tow Bar is one of my Top Buys
Great Product, no matter the price. There is no reason in the world to spend $400 or $500 on a tow barBe sure to purchase 2 sets of chain or cable to complete the tow bar safety system. Also don't forget the electrical connections you will need to make, but before you make any purchase, please make sure the vehicle you wish to tow, can be towed. Check your vehicle owners manual.

For what it is, I think it'll work perfectly.
I have an older model that I use to flat tow my CJ7 around. This unit is nice because it can be taken down and fit into the back of my Jeep XJ. I keep it with me in case I ever run into any issues, I can have someone come to me with a truck and tow me back home. I run a full custom engine setup, and I'm still testing it out.

Quality!
Towbar includes a little assembly but once you have it together it's a piece of cake to hook up. I tow my lifted Jeep and even at highway speeds 70+ mph there is no slack, movement or anything. Almost like it isn't there at all!

BEWARE -- DO NOT EXCEED 45 MPH
WORTHLESS - when I went to have a company install this on my Honda, they informed me that the manufacturer's safety warnings for this model say "DO NOT exceed 45 mph." I downloaded the instructions and that is what it says, the "DO NOT" is in caps as I have quoted it.I suppose if one has some reason to tow their car around their neighborhood this would work. But I am guessing that most people who need to tow a car need to travel some distance at speeds in excess on 45 MPH. I fear I have thrown away $100.

Towed my Jeep Cherokee 1400 miles
I used this towbar to tow my Jeep Cherokee 1400 miles. It worked, but it's not perfect.A few things about it,1. It is a universal fit, so you will have to fabricate some brackets or additional supports, probably have to drill some holes in your vehicle to get the mounting brackets attached. I had to spend almost $50 on steel to reinforce my frame where the brackets connected. The instructions call for 1/2"x2" steel to reinforce the attachment point.2. I'm not real fond of the 3 piece arms. I'm sure Reese does it to keep the box small for shipping, but the long arms are 3 pieces with an inner sleeve and four bolts holding the long pieced together. It worked for my trip, but it's not a very solid connection ,there is some movement even with the bolts cranked tight. But, it did not loosen up on my 1,400 mile trip.3. It worked for my one trip, but if I was going to use it to tow the same vehicle often, say behind an RV, I would go with a more expensive and more robust kit.

Reliable
First off, I wanted to note the integrity of this tow bar is up to par. Don't be fooled by incorrect installation. I followed all directions in order and performed a safe tow of my 94 Toyota 4runner behind my 2011 Ford ranger XLT with out any complication. I do recommend the use of lock washers on the connections of the spacer bars to make the entire arm solid as a rock. Other than that be sure to maintain an idle speed and avoid sudden stops and your golden!!
