D'Addario Accessories XLR Female Adapter

Fits is nice and tight into cables. Be careful putting these adapters behind the mixing console if they are not protected from getting banged into. they do stick out and can damage the inputs on the board or the adapter.

Bought this to connect two XLR male connections for a stereo cable. Used to connect to a headphone amplified extension. Works great!

Whomever said it was 'long' was correct, I'd guess length helps provide rigidity and better alignment; like rigid piece near hose coupling to prevent bending. I was impressed with the 'heft' of it, felt solidl when connecting cables.

Adapter worked great . Built very well. Purchased additional units.

What can I say? This is a simple and easy-to-use item. It gets the intended job done. There is no noise and it's built to last. It's not very expensive. I like it.

I have a lot of different Planet Waves adapters in my studio. Pricing is good (even a buck or two cheaper than SweetWater or other online retailers) and thus far, I've had no issues with any of them. I have XLR F-F, XLR-M-M, TRS-XLR, etc… Probably 5 or 6 different types and 4 of each type.

Great product & great seller, just wished it wasn't so darned long
