Daughter (6 years old) absolutely LOVES these books! She is re-reading the entire Mercy series for the 7th time. She can read them on her own, loves learning new words and building her vocabulary, the characters are brought to life with vivid writing and animated illustrations, full of feeling and hilarity. These books are fantastic! I wish more children’s books were as worthy as these.

My First Graders love these books - I get to read aloud a chapter book to them, but it is short enough that we can stay focused as I read one chapter a day. The stories are cute, and I put the illustrations on the document camera and students love it!

This well made, beautifully illustrated book should be in every Kindergarten and up library. The chapters are perfect for 1st graders because each chapter is 3-4 pages! Bright, hilarious and warm book that has a very nice size font and beautiful layout for early chapter book readers . Can't wait for my grandson to get this in his Easter Basket tomorrow. I'm going to buy more from this series.

Good price and kids likes it

These stories are great for a 3 yr old. The stories build on each other a bit but can also stand on their own. Similar characters across books makes it easy for kids to follow.

This was our first Mercy Watson book purchase, and I cannot wait to purchase more from the series. The story is funny, and the illustrations are bright and colorful. Highly recommend to those looking for a fun and entertaining beginner chapter book.
