


This 282 piece puzzle is a map of Asia Minor made in 1596 by famed mapmaker Jan Huyghen van Linschoten. Linschoten is famous for the theft of the Portuguese maps of the East Indies that led to the creation of the Dutch East Indian company (see wikipedia.org for more on Linschoten). Our puzzle features wild animal whimsy pieces designed by Seattle artist Maria Berg - to see example pieces, click on the little picture below the puzzle image above. All our puzzles are made of 1/4" wood in Seattle, USA. Packaged in a pine wood box.
