Must have!
I upgraded to the 10th Gen (2018) Kindle Paperwhite when it came out. Believing the hype of the thinness of the new device, I opted to go without a case so that I can truly experience the reading experience as it was intended; what ever that means in my head, I've no idea how I got caught up in that mindset. Also, because there weren't any good (and low cost) cases available when this Kindle came out.The new Kindle is a great reading device! However, because of the size and weight, my hand would feel a bit cramped after holding the device for more than 10 minutes. Also, because the power button is at the bottom, I would accidentally bump it and turn off the device when I want to rest my hand on the table or on top of my bag when I'm in commute. Now I finally got around to decide on a case. I order the MoKo case because I actually miss my previous Kindle, which I had purchased along with a MoKo case. I remember the cover, when folded back, would actually make it easier to comfortably hold the device for hours at a time. This case is identical to the one I used with my previous Kindle. With the cover flipped over, it is now easier and less strenuous to hold the kindle. I would use my fore and middle finger to hold on to the cover and rest the corner of the kindle on my palm. My thumb now just hangs freely with no risk of accidentally touch the screen and flip to the next page before I'm ready. I used to have to constantly be mindful of where my thumb is and being extra careful of not dropping the kindle when I shift my thumb to hold it at a different angle.IMO, This case is a must have accessory for the new Kindle Paperwhite. This is my 2nd MoKo case for the Kindle, and I've become a huge fan!Best regards,W

Check the specific model of your Paperwhite before buying
Quick aside: Make sure you are buying a compatible case for your Kindle! The "10th generation" Paperwhite first became available in November 2018. It is smaller than prior models. Its backside is completely flat, with gently curved edges on all four sides. The *older* models (incompatible with this case) included a small hump area at the bottom where the power button and USB port were located. This is an excellent case, especially for a cost substantially lower than Amazon's similar first party offerings. The outside covers are a sort of snake skin textured, rubberized material with a good amount of friction. I can stack my phone on top without worry of it slipping off, and it's easy to walk around with this case. The inside front cover is a medium-dark gray material that feels like felt. The inside back cover is hard plastic.Overall, this is very similar to the MoKo case I used for my 6th gen Paperwhite, with a couple of small differences. The 10th gen case doesn't have MoKo printed or embossed anywhere visible other than inside the back cover. This is hidden once the Paperwhite is in the case. The model for the older Paperwhite had the MoKo logo embossed on the inside front cover. Next, it's dimensions are significantly thinner/smaller in every aspect (but so is the newer Paperwhite). It also doesn't have the proud edge protruding off the center of the right hand side. The old one had that to hold its magnetic closure. This newer model has magnets concealed within the cover's right-hand, outside corners and they mate with the Paperwhite's (also concealed) magnetic switches.

A surprisingly awesome case!
When I first received my new Paperwhite 10th Gen, I wanted to put the device into the official Amazon fabric case. I am in no way bashing that fabric case, but I was thrown off just a bit from how exposed the top and bottom of the Paperwhite was, leading me to look for another case and coming across this one.I was very much surprised at how this new MoKo case resembles my 2014 Paperwhite Kindle case! The entire Paperwhite is covered (minus the much smaller cutout for the charging port, power button, and charging light), feeling safe and secure. This has more of a plastic feel to it than the leather look, but I don't truly consider this a con. The closing cover is very slightly bigger than the case (at least on mine), but not enough to sway a star away. The inside magnet definitely holds onto the device to insure it remains closed. Just keep in mind when the cover is folded around while reading, the front of the cover does not have any magnets to hold onto the bottom of the case (like the fabric case mentioned earlier). I actually find that to be a positive thing as I felt uneasy trying to pull the cover to closing on the other case, afraid of dropping the Paperwhite all together. You definitely get what you pay for, and for the price of this case, it truly is well worth it.

2018 10th Gen Kindle/4th Gen Paperwhite
I like it in most ways, and the sleep/wake thing is convenient, but there is one big issue for which I considered giving it 2 or 3 stars: it weighs too much. I should’ve researched it further so that’s on me. It’s approximately as heavy as the Kindle itself, essentially nearly doubling the weight. That makes it harder to hold when you’re laying in bed reading, and negates the awesome benefit that this model Kindle is so lightweight. I have one other issue with it, but this is more of a nitpick: there are some sharp edges on the back side near the perimeter. It doesn’t make it significantly uncomfortable in the hand, but I would’ve preferred they design it differently. I was disappointed, so I took it off and put it in a drawer. But, I fully intend to use it when I travel for added protection, so it should come in handy for that. All in all, for the low cost, it seems good quality and I can’t complain too much.
