Ambition Fountain Pen, Pearwood Brown - Medium

I purchased this pen as a replacement to another Faber-Castell, lesser-priced pen I lost. I don't miss it for a second. I was surprised to see this writing instrument is both refillable and uses disposable cartridges, a great advantage. The tip is super smooth, flows gently on the page, allows for free expression without tearing or scratching. This along with its looks are worth the price. Excellent pen, the best fountain pen I have owned. Very happy and satisfied with this purchase.

This is a gorgeous well made pen. High quality nib and very good weight. Wood is stunningly beautiful. The only knock I have is that it did not come in the expected packaging. Was expecting a nice full size pen box. Came in a box literally the size of the pen itself. Small thin green box. The product arrived in excellent shape and no issues. Thus, if someone were considering giving for a gift they may want to buy another box for presenting. Definitely recommend the pen.

It's unlike any of the other fountain pens that I own. The wooden body is comfortable to hold and it's thin enough that I can write with it for extended periods without my hand getting tired.

Beautiful pen. The wood is a rosy-red color that doesn't quite come across as well in pictures I've seen as it does in real life. The nib writes smoothly, and has a smart dot design on the surface. The cap has some weight to it, which I've had no problem with, but those who like to write cap on may really feel the weight. Anyone looking for a wooden pen, or really an affordable pen that still looks high end should think about this one here. I would caution that since it is wood, you have to take a bit more care to not get any ink on the wood, which may stain or damage it. Other than that, this pen is great, and has been my pen of choice since purchase.

With the right ink, this pen is incredible. I highly recommend using Noodler’s Ink with this pen.

Exceptional nib -- writes very smoothly. The pen is very well crafted. Highly recommended. I would do business with Faber-Castell again.
