This is one of our favorite "healthy" candy for the adults and kids alike. It's not the same as normal licorice, but definitely satisfies the licorice craving. Our family is split - some like the little pieces, some wish it were the normal ropes. These are not the super soft kind, they are slightly harder/chewier than the "regular" brands and they seem to get a bit more of the stale taste faster. Color is satisfying even with no dye. We have replaced all our licorice with these as they are a good enough substitute.

Great snack! Taste is delicious and they are healthy with healthy ingredients. They are a much better choice than other gummy candy on the shelves.

Horrible New formula. Why would they take perfectly good licorice and make it horrible. I hate it; I will never buy it again. I used to open the packages and let the licorice harden and then suck on the pieces. They were so good and tasted so much like licorice. This new stuff tastes like gummy candy. I will not be buying it again. They lost a long time customer. These are very very good and tasty. Great snack the the gluten free. My son loves them.

I had ordered 2 cases of these a while back and they were amazing! I ordered another case recently and I’m disappointed to find that the recipe has been changed. The old ones had a dryer texture to them that didn’t have the same texture as licorice, and I absolutely fell in love with it. These new ones are more like licorice and I’m so bummed!! While the flavor is still good (even if it also changed as well), I just didn’t want this texture!

Yum Earth makes great licorice candy. I purchased a batch from another site hoping to get the new formula but was sent the original version. Then purchased the new & improved version from Amazon and to be honest I love the new formular just as much maybe more. The texture is different (see pics) it's a bit more chewy, looks kind of greasy not matte like the original and I think more flavor, I am quite happy with these licorice.New formula on left!

Texture is ok but these are way too sweet, not much black licorice flavor. I appreciate that they are gluten free, but my quest for a good GF black licorice continues.

This licorice I love the most, the proof is in the amount I buy on subscribe and save and in between when I run out. :)During the pandemic, I noticed it got a bit harder, but I loved it so, and figured it slowed me down a bit, and I was ok with that. It helps settle my stomach when nothing else will.It has gotten back to perfect recently! I was so delighted to have the perfect black licorice without the wheat since I was allergic.I grew up on the texture of red vines before my allergy was diagnosed, and this was the closest sans wheat black licorice I have found to the texture.The very last batch they redid their packaging, which I was ok with, although I preferred the previous one maybe because I had eaten it for so long.However the texture was also different, softer like Australian licorice, and I realized each serving had two grams more sugar too, which I really didn’t need.Personally, I don’t crave it like I did, but maybe other people will like being softer and sweeter.I noticed they also reduced the marketing fact that is is organic, even though it still is, which I think is surprising, and imo so important with the rice content and a good selling point.I was happy to find one more bag of the OG Yum Earth Black Licorice in my hidden stash. I will miss the texture and less sweetness of the OG that is for sure. Cheers to this gluten free black licorice!
