Good but one issue
Quiet, cats like it as it's a good size for their big tummies. Only problem was the brush fitted around the flap came unstuck after a few weeks. A bit of superglue and it's fixed!

Looks good but has some flaws
We went for this cat flap as it was one of the few around that had a good rating and was a black frame (we have a black door it was going in). The reason for the low score is firstly for some reason there was a small magnetic bar which sits on the flap. I am presuming this was to try and stop the flap from moving in windy weather. If the magnet had been permanently fixed within the flap somehow it wouldn't have been lost but because it was loose it soon got lost and now the flap sways about even in the slightest breeze. So it can get a bit draughty. Also, we couldn't understand how our cat kept getting out despite turning the lock to entry only and then one night I caught him hitting the flap with his paw so that flap bounced off the frame and then he got the paw underneath and freedom was calling. But the main flaw we found with this cat flap is the sliding lock mechanisms - they are just too free and easy to move. Meaning that when the cats go in or out, if their paw hits one of the green or red sliding locks they will move, resulting in the cat being locked in (which is fine) but worst being locked out. I have to put a bit of blue tac either side to keep them in place and so I am now looking for a new cat flap and will avoid the type which has the locking mechanism as a sliding bar on the bottom.

Glad you asked
Glad you asked. Easy to fit as same size as old one. BUT the insulation strip round the flap all came off within 3 weeks so that draughts will come in this is unsatisfactory. Whatever adhesive was used is clearly not any good. I await to hear from you.Peter Smith.STILL WAITIONG FOR YOUR REPLYWHEN WILL YOU REPLY???????Why are you asking again. Rather than the bother of returning the product and buying another faulty one I have glued the insulation strip back on. I do think this should be stuck properly when made.Do you take any notice of what I write???

Our new shiny cat flap
A great purchase - lovely shiny black surround, easy to fit. This was a replacement cat flap as the old one had gotten far past its best and the new one fitted straight away into the existing space and screw holes just perfectly. The little flap is a bit stiff but so far the cats have been able to come and go through it easily and it should loosen up the more it is used.

no template provided :-(
cat is well chuffed with it in and out like a yo yo ,easy to install although a template would make it alot easier as i had to make my own!! (surely the firm could supply one?)the brush bars work well to keep out the draft so far, locking mechanism works ok although quite stiff to operatecan recommend

Poor build quality and installation instructions
Very poor build quality. All the screws heads stripped or broke. The plastic is very thin, so after some hours of installing it (very small, undetailed instructions) I don't think it will last very long.

Poor construction
The cat flap looks nice but I am afraid that's all I can positively say. The flap doesnt got the aperture, there are gaps to the sides which allows for a draught. The locking mechanism is not very strong. I would return this item but that would leave me with a gaping hole in my back doorI am sorry I can't recommend this item, perhaps I was just unlucky with this one.

Fine.
Good for the money. Not the most sturdy. Small dogs (toy poodle, shih tzu, shih poo) like it but the cats seem to think that they have spent long enough training us to open the window to bother! The lab puppy is going to get a shock in a few weeks...
