Product is very well made, with very easy to follow instructions. Adjustments are easy to do once installed. I bought this to go on an 800 mile trip with my Harley, it worked great and gave my throttle hand much needed rest. I highly recommend this as it is very easily disengaged with the thumb or pulling the front brake lever.

The unit was easy to install and set up. I used it during a 350-mile ride, and it worked flawlessly. The relief of taking my hand off the throttle for a while was Great. It was worth every dime.

The product works as advertised.The cruise control is well engineered.The kit was complete and the instructions are comprehensive and easy to follow.The installed cruise control has a clean Appearance installed on a FXDI.The Metal finish was suboptimal with course machine, tooling marks, and scratches throughout the product. For this price, I expected smooth metal surfaces without machining/tool gouges.

Our local Harley dealer, Lake Shore Harley, Libertyville, IL installed the lock on my 2009 Fat Boy. Happy to report it is working exactly as the manufacturer advertised. The main feature I believe sets this throttle lock apart is the auto disconnect when you apply the hand brake. It has an easy to apply lever beside the throttle to disconnect the unit but also the slightest pressure on the front break lever disconnects the unit. Could be a great safety feature in an emergency.Lots of cheaper throttle locks available but this seems high quality materials, engineered well, and performs well.

This to me is a waste of money lt doesn't hold a steady speed it keeps slipping I wouldn't recommend this.

Had one on another bike, had to put one on this bike. Easy to install and works great.

Do not be scared to buy this. This is top notch for a mechanical throttle lock. I gave it all 5 stars except for "Easy To Install" and I want to say that's no fault of the manufacturer. It's because my aftermarket grips were a few thousandths too wide and wouldn't lock into the "dummy" cable ferrules. I had to notch them out a little with a die grider to get them to fit properly. Again this is no fault of Breakaway. If I had actual Harley Davidson grips it probably would have slid right in. If you're not mechanically inclined then have them installed by a professional. Once you get it tuned in, this product works great.

I had this professionally installed . Mechanic told me a couple of the holes didn't align properly. He made it work. I just took the bike for ride today and the unit works great. Should be a great relief on my throttle hand on long rides. Glad it worked out for the best. Would recommend the unit
