These are the second pair thar I bought after 9 years, good build quality and sound sharp, have enough mid bass,for a discrete stereo system install these are enough.

I bought these Boss Audio Onyx speakers to upgrade my car’s sound system and I’m very satisfied with the result. Installation was fairly easy, and the improvement in audio quality was noticeable right away. They deliver clear sound, good bass, and no distortion even at high volumes.With 800 watts of peak power, they offer impressive performance for the price. They also look great, with a solid and professional design.Perfect for anyone looking to upgrade their sound system without spending too much. Highly recommended.

I bought a 1996 Classic Silverado truck that had the original stereo with separate CD player that needed replacing. I rely heavily on reviews before I make any purchases but I decided to "roll the dice" on the Boss 650UA. At 50+ years old I didn't see the need to spend huge money on a stereo for a standard cab truck. One concern that I had was compromising quality for price. WRONG ! What started as a stereo and new speakers has blown into a system that's nothing short of AWESOME !I know there are those who have unlimited funds that spend thousands on a great stereo, I'm not one of those people.I bought the Boss 650UA Head Unit, Boss CH6530 Chaos Exxtreme 6.5 " door speakers, the Boss CH4630 4x6" speakers for the rear posts and a Sound Storm EV 400 4 channel amp. It sounded pretty good but lacked bass. I could have stopped there but I continued to improve the system over the next two weeks.Next was the Sound Storm SSL S4EQ Equalizer. (Sound Storm is Boss). Then I bought 2 Boss Audio CXX10 Chaos Exxtreme 800 Watt 10" Subs and a Boss Audio R1100M Riot 1100 Watt amp to drive them. I was on a roll so why stop there ? lol Next was the Boss Audio NX694 6x9 4 way 800 Watt full range speakers with a Boss Audio PT 1000 Phantom Amp to drive them. All packed into a Standard Cab truck. lolAlso bought a 2 Farad Capacitor and a Power Distribution Block just to be safe. Getting ready to complete my system with 2 Tweeters and then I'm finished.So with everything said and done I have less than $ 400.00 into this entire system and let me say it ROCKS ! No engine noise, no distortion, just crystal clear and clean music at an affordable price. The 2 Subs under the seats sound fantastic !I could have bought the Clarion, the Alpine etc., and the price tag would doubled or tripled but for me this is an awesome system that's worth every penny. If I had it to do all over again I wouldn't change a thing !My suggestions would be TAKE YOUR TIME ! It's any easy "Do It Yourself" install if you follow the wiring diagrams that are provided. Also use the thickest gauge wiring that you can -Amps, Speakers, Battery, Ground, etc.. Don't buy a great system and then skimp on the wire !As far as the negative comments go, I would ignore them. Boss makes quality audio at affordable prices.I would have to recommend Boss Audio to everyone !!!Comment Comment | Permalink

They sound amazing they did the job what I needed them for they can handle what I'm pushing now I had the boss 500 watts before so I decided to try the eights

I installed these in some cedar wood boxes that i made with "Box Joints" and they look great. They also sound pretty good connected to my Yamaha Receiver, in my Gazebo. I have home theater, Amazon music, radio and echo dot with blue tooth all going to a set of speakers with the Boss speakers as my main speakers. I never intended to use in a car.

I installed one of these in my 99 Toyota 4 Runner which has a paper cone woofer and door column tweeter for the stock speakers in the front.I had this in the driver's side door and the stock setup in the passenger side door. Both were hooked up to a JVC amp outputting a true 50 watts RMS to each channel. After carefully listening to each speaker through multiple frequency ranges (cutting out the highs, cutting out the lows) I determined that the stock speakers had a clearer sound across the full listening spectrum.That said, for the price this is still a good speaker if your stock setup sucks (which many do) or if replacing blown units. They seem well made and sound OK.
