Works great, 1 bottle will last well over a year
This is a nice cheap solution to helping with your treadmill belt. Some reviews say the bottle is junk but I honestly didn't find it hard to use.You lift your belt up a little, spray it under, and move the belt and do it again. You don't need to try and stick your arm under or spread it out like other reviewers commented. If you read the instructions on the bottle, it says after you are done to walk slow on your treadmill for a few minutes and it will spread itself out. Which I did, and it did. After I sprayed the solution 10-12 sprays on each side every 1/3 of my belt I could see it had the edges all covered. I walked on the treadmill at speed 1 for like 2 or 3 minutes and then I felt under and sure enough it spread all the way into the center. So you don't need to be sticking your arm under there trying to force it into the center. Also according to the box if you follow the instructions each application will use about 1oz. It is a 4oz bottle. So you should get 4 applications out of each bottle. You are supposed to reapply every 40 hours of use. So for me, I use my treadmill 30 minutes a day, 5 days a week, so one application will last me 16 weeks (4 months). 1 bottle should then last me 1 year and 4 months (ish).

I think a trigger style bottle would be superior
Pros:- I have the LifeSpan TR4000i and the thing is brilliant in the sense that it detects when the lubricant is low (and will tell me!); this lubricant, when applied, fixes the error and there is a noticeable improvement in the ride quality of the treadmill- it's lubricant. It's not exactly vintage wine. Get it on your fingers and you'll be able to tell it does the job when you try to wash it offCons:- I took off one star because it's annoying trying to squirt this stuff if any of it gets on the actual spring-loaded portion of the dispense; in other words, your finger will start slipping all around and things get messy- I think that I may eventually try pouring this into a spray bottle (think trigger style) to see if that works better; it may also be easier to maneuver underneath the treadmill belt

Loosen the belt before trying to apply!
Thin compared to other brands but I haven't noticed it being terribly poor quality for the price. I like the spray application as it helps to distribute the lubricant evenly on the running deck.A note to people complaining about the applicator: When you are lubricating the belt on a treadmill, as it states in probably every owner's manual, you should loosen the tread belt before applying the lubricant. There is usually a screw on either side of the back end of the treadmill that loosens the tension on the belt. Once the screws and belt are loose, lift the belt and spray the running deck with the lubricant. After you have used about a third of the lubricant, reposition the belt and re-tighten the screws back to their original position.

Leaky bottle!
This is a good product and important for maintaining an expensive piece of equipment. This is the second time we have ordered this lubricant, but this time it was poorly packaged (shrink-wrapped) by the manufacturer and LEAKED. And because Amazon didn't put it in in a zip bag, silicone was all over the other items in the box...so I'm disappointed in the packaging by both parties this time. We had no problems with the very first order, so hopefully this was an isolated incident, but just be aware.

Avoid unnecessary service repair expenses!
Avoid unnecessary repairs!!! I have a 15 y.o. Precor 9.1 treadmill that started heating the electrical wall plug, and eventually tripping the electrical circuit breaker after a few minutes at my usual speed of 1.7. Called local Los Angeles area treadmill services for advice. Other than "you can buy a new track and/or support platform"....there was never any mention of a treadmill belt lubricant. Until after spending $400 for a service call that did nothing but make me spend money.....did I discover that there existed a treadmill belt lubricant. I hope that this saves you unnecessary repairs. This belt lubricant quickly solved the problem. I tilt the treadmill on one side and sprayed the lube under the belt, and tilt it to the other side and did the same. Instead of turning on the treadmill, I then manually pushed the belt back and forth until I could feel that the lube was evenly spread. You don't want to spray it too much just before it goes around a roller because it could start slipping. It's back to just like new... A lesson learned the expensive way......

Works good...hope it lasts.
So far so good...it seems that a 1oz application covers the treadmill belt area quite well and this bottle contains 4oz so you can get 4 applications. I was initially concerned about the silicone to water ratio as I do not believe this is pure silicone (the silicone they use is 100% but it's obviously suspended in water) but am satisfied with the performance of this product and my treadmill does not vary in speed or seem to want to stick anymore. This is not a gel as another reviewer commented...it is an aqueous solution and does spray quite nicely. I did have some help applying it though...I lifted the belt and my helper sprayed the solution. It couldn't have been easier.Overall this seems to be a good product. Not sure how long the treatment will last, but I'd rather spend $15 for this than to spend 10x as much for a replacement belt.

Wrong type of applicator tip for a treadmill.
Almost impossible to use for a treadmill. You really want to apply the silicone on the center where you tend to walk/run on the treadmill, however with this spray, I can only apply to the side of the treadmill where nobody runs on.

Every few months my wife's treadmill prompts that it's time ...
Every few months my wife's treadmill prompts that it's time to lube the belt. I loosen two screws on the end an equal number of turns, spray this lube in a zig-zag pattern across the deck tighten the screws the same number of turns, push some weird button combination (that I can never remember necessitating finding the manual), and off she goes for another few hundred miles of running. The belt has not worn out yet so I guess it's working.
