Well designed, Great quality
This coat is one of my most favorite purchases ever. Super warm, pockets where you need them, including small inside chest pocket for keys, wallet, etc. Length keeps lower torso and upper legs toasty. Side hand pockets big enough to shove a medium-sized hydro water flask bottle into and it'll stay. Washes like a dream. I have black, so can't talk about the other colors. Quality fabric that has stood the test of time sliding on boulders and branches without snagging at all. Totally problem-free zipper, unlike some other prominent top-name brands. Super warm hood. Has kept me dry in those days on the trail when it rains before turning into snow. Would not expect it to stay completely dry in a drenching downpour, but that's what raincoats are for. Looks great for city/around-town wear.

Runs large
This jacket runs large. I’m 5’8”, 140 lbs and the medium is a tad too big, when I’m a tried and true size medium (if I there’s no vanity sizing). It’s a great jacket though, and I will wear it with sweaters, so I kept it. Bought it for a fall trip to Ireland knowing the average temps will be in the high 40s/lower 50s range, and raining most days. The jacket is down filled (synthetic I think), and the inside is soft. It’s definitely going to be warm enough. It appears to be rain resistant, which is what Marmot claims, but I’ll test it out soon enough and will report back if it fails. So far, while this is not a cheap jacket, my other Marmot coats have been really fabulous, high-quality items, so guessing this one will be the same and thus, worth every penny.

Warm and waterproof
This coat is warm, waterproof and windproof. Exactly what i was looking for during the cold, wet, windy northeastern winters. Zipper is two way, The hood fits great (i had to remove the hood from my other coat because it was way to big). Even the faux fur is nice. Well worth the price. Highly recommend

Ideal winter jacket
Better in person, made of high quality materials and a flattering, feminine cut. It's the ideal winter jacket to me, not bulky but has the comforting weight of a quilt and the warmth of 700 gram fill down. Waterproof and windproof.

Arrived with dog poop bags. Great coat! Slightly funky hood fit
I LOVE this jacket. Super comfy, a great length, comfortable and easy to move in yet not too bulky and somewhat form fitting for a put together look. The light color hides minor dirt smudges and especially hides salt when I brush against my car.My only complaint is that the hood sits far forward over my face. It’s good for a bitter cold day but the fur gets in my eyes and is too annoying on a regular day. You can zip off the fur (or the whole hood) but I like the way it looks.Edit: I ordered another as a gift, and despite being wrapped in plastic it arrived with DOG POOP BAGS in the pocket. Clearly I was not given a new product. Extremely disappointed and embarrassed.

SHEDS LIKE MAD!
I bought my first Marmot 9 years ago. I was very impressed by the warmth and quality. Not this time around. Yes it’s warm, but this coat SHEDS. The liner that holds in the down is awful! I’m really disappointed. If the company was trying to keep the cost down by going with a cheaper quality, they made a mistake.

Awesome coat
I bought this coat at a major retailer but before removing the tags I found it on amazon for $130 less. That’s a significant difference. I wasn’t convinced it was the same coat so I bought it and compared the two side-by-side. I was literally counting stitches per inch , looking at the seam pattern on the lining, everything. Two differences: 1. that Marmot logo was in black stitching on the amazon coat and white in the dept store coat. 2. the tag that states the manufacture date was 2017 the amazon coat vs 2019 for the department store version. I returned my original purchase since I’d not worn it or removed the tags. It’s a great coat for this weird Chicago winter. It hits me just above the knee (I’m 5’9”). The hood fits closely to keep out the elements, the zippers are solid and the cuffs are great. I love it.
