I've used this product since 1986ish. The new formula leaves a cheap, tacky feeling. Why change it?

Horrible scent
This might be the worst smelling shampoo I have ever used. It made me choke. And the fake floral scent permeates everything, which would be great if I liked it. I can't assess its efficacy because the smell was so off-putting.
