Beautiful!
This doll is a wonderful likeness to actress Miranda Otto, who played Eowyn in the films. The other dolls in this collection don't hold up as well in likeness.I had no problems with receiving the item and no damage was done during shipping. She's easily taken out of the box. I'll keep the box though, it's quite lovely. The only issue with the doll itself is the lack of hair. This is a fault of design. There are large gaps of solid head between lines of hair. Also, her head is rather wobbly, but that could just be from age and wear. The outfit is a bit large on the doll's frame. Under the dress she's wearing full-body underwear (think long-johns) and has flat, lace-up shoes. The box claims there are accessories, but there's nothing extra. The body of the doll doesn't stand like a typical Barbie (wider stance) and she has a circle grip waiting to wield a sword! That is if you have one big enough and her sleeves don't get in the way.Overall, gorgeous doll, beautifully crafted dress, and fully articulated (including her upper torso, a rarity for dolls). I highly recommended this Eowyn doll for any serious collector.

Gorgeous
The doll is beautiful and looks just like Miranda Otto as Eowyn in The Two Towers. I'm extremely pleased to add her to my collection!

Present for grand baby.
I had to get this for my daughter who named her baby Eowyn. Big LOR fan! Her and her husband were surprised that I found the one with the dress. Most of them are the warrior sword doll. They love it!

Beware the Quality of the Craft
Aside from standard issues in doll clothing production (unraveling gold strings and all that), what really rendered my view of the doll in the negative was the style of articulation, especially in the hip area. Instead of something sturdy like a ball and socket, the top of the leg houses a pin that's supposed to marry to the torso. Well lemme tell you, one good tumble and you can kiss that system good-bye. Now I've got a doll with beautiful hair, poor constructed clothing, and odd proportions who only has one functional leg.If you're the type of collector who handles the box with care, then by all means pick this girl up. But if you like to pose your dolls for display, then avoid this one at all cost.

I got this several years ago, and I still love it.
Confession: when the second Lord of the Rings film came out, I was still young enough for my grandmother to take me to Toys R Us and tell me to pick out a toy. I immediately ran around in search of new Lord of the Rings things, but on the way I saw this doll in the Barbie isle. Clearly she did not belong there; the likeness is strong to Miranda Otto, and she doesn't look deranged like some of the other Lord of the Rings dolls out there. She has traveled with me through college and beyond, and she is still holding up. If you are a fan of Eowyn, and can find this at a decent price, I would highly recommend this doll!
