Wonderful, brilliant, very effective and essential supply teaching aid to lessen voicebox strain! It is especially necessary for supply teaching, as a class of 30 children make a huge racket even when just talking at a normal level to discuss a group task, whilst behaving themselves. Those of us who are fully and highly qualified and experienced teachers therefore regularly have to raise out voices to be heard at the times at which students are engaged in group or pair work peer tasks, because 30 voices create a high volume of sound even when speaking quite quietly. You can't expect children to whisper or sit in silence all day, so you regularly have to raise your voice when teaching, and that goes double when you're teaching supply. This microphone does not ampilfy your voice as much as one used by someone on stage would, but is sufficient to enable you to be heard clearly and assertively, without being so loud that it unsettles anyone.It is also a great teaching aid to be used to encourage student participation, by allowing students to borrow the headset mike if they come up to do a class presentation or reading of the set text book to the rest of the class. Students usually love this and it is a good way of bringing a covered lesson alive, to ensure that you are not just sitting in the corner and setting work, (as is expected of supply) but actually creatively delivering an interactive lesson in which you address each section of set work engagingly. It obviously also helps to be heard for disciplining without shouting, when necessary. Fantastic product. It would be even better if a separate mike was available to go with this though, as the headset does rather connote office work, even when used creatively.

Works fine in a large auditorium and is easy to operate.

This actually works a lot better than anticipated, especially in a large room so that people at rear can hear well if unit is placed in middle or back of room , well wort the money

I need to use this with the wired connection, not the UHF connection, because I need to connect the headset to another unit at the same time. I *have* tested the UHF connection and there is some background noise when using this connection. However, I'm sticking with a 5 start because when using the wired connection it is an excellent little aid when running my guided walks

The speaker blew up mid-use after using it for a few hours a week for a few months. A smell of electrical burning filled the air. When I looked at the speaker, it was dead. I tried to recharge it. Still dead. I threw it out. And now I must buy another brand...

This was a good solution to the problem my wife and had when we could not hear each other when travelling in our wheelchair accessible vehicle.

Excellent, compact voice amplifier …..slight issue with feedback from microphone to amplifier
