The carburetor kit arrived on time, but it was a little messy. The components inside the cardboard box were spread all over, but there wasn't anything missing and it was sent as advertised. I bought it for someone who wanted to replace his chainsaw carburetor, so I'm not sure if it is working properly. I have attached a few pictures so you can compare this carburetor to the one you want to replace.

This carburetor works well, I did have to adjust the mixture screws on the side to allow for full throttle. But the chainsaw cover impeded the throttle mechanism so I had to remove a portion of plastic (with dremel tool) under the chainsaw cover to allow for full range of throttle mechanism to work properly.

Was given a nice saw that would not run properly. Out of the box, after priming it started right up with new carb but still would not run much over idle, Found the high speed jet was adjusted all the way to the bottom, turned out 3/4 turn and that saw now runs and cuts like a new one. Note special adjusting tool is needed. Did not have one but found 1/4 copper tubing fits over the knurling on the adjuster and works in place of the tool with gentle use. If you do not have the special tool order one with the carb or expect to have to make do as I did.

Because of the Mechanical linkage to the upper butterfly valve, the carburetor doesn't fit my craftsman chainsaw.I should say, i cant put the cover on the engine because of the linkage rod. The carburetor fits the engine perfect. When u install the cover for the engine, the linkage rod is in the way.

Excellent product for the price. Easy install. I did have to cut the top throttle line with wire cutters. It was rubbing on the top cover and wouldn't adjust when squeezing the trigger. I just shortened it a bit and it works great. I also had to adjust the carbs high/low. It was off a bit as well. No plastic parts like my old Craftsman carb had...

I used an online video for instructions to install the carburetor. I figured I had nothing to lose and my chainsaw came back to life. I did not replace the bulb primer that was included, but it was nice that it was included as well.

If you do not know how to adjust carb. Don't bother.chainsaw would start but not run with old carb. (I left gas in it for over a year.)Won't start at all with this new carb.

Carb worked good, but be advised you most remove a bit of plastic from the top cover to allow clearance for the linkage...other than that it fit just like the original..
