I started studying Ayurveda and this book is an easy to read from a westerner's perspective

Was this book even edited? I paid much more than the $19.XX this book is currently selling for and was quite disappointed.There are a lot of good info-graphics and charts, however reading around the lack of editing has been difficult.Is there a reason this wasn't edited? And if so, why do books by this author cost so much?I bought this and a second title from this author as textbooks for a class and now refuse to purchase any other titles by this author, as I am leery that they may all be edited this way.
