works great and for what i need

I bought 2 in December of 2021. One went bad about 9 months later. The second one 14 months later.I thought it could be the LG LCD monitors, their power supplies, the video card, or a poorly seated connection. Tested it all and it was none of the above. I frequently reset the video card until randomly the monitors would work. I don't have the time for this.Replaced the cables and the monitors and video card work fine. Something is failing in these cables. They are nice cables, that do the job, at a decent price but they have a short half-life.

Stupid Amazon search results added this cable into my explicit search for "dual link" cables so my mistake. I'm giving this 5 stars as it's a good feeling cable but this is warning to others that this is not a dual-link cable and your 2560x1440 monitor will be limited to 1600x1200!

I know video quality pretty well but I'm not an expert. However, these cables are excellent if you're trying to do what I was doing which was hook 3 monitors up to my GPU for nVidia Surround and/or Eyefinity.These cables are thick and tightly put together. You're going to have to be extra negligent to harm these.

This is an update to my earlier review. I later tried this cable on a different computer/monitor combination and it worked fine. I'm not sure if the earlier failure was due to a cable length/signal strength problem with the earlier set-up or operator error on my part. I am willing to give the benefit of the doubt to the manufacturer.Cable failed to supply video to monitor and did not allow computer to detect connection.

Works great to connect my ViewSonic 1920x1080 monitor (DVI) to the Display Port output on my HP desktop computer. I was using a decent VGA cable before and getting a little sharper picture now. The cable itself is kind of stiff and made it a bit more difficult to neatly run the cable from the monitor to the opening in the back of the desk.
