A great machine for the price.
This is the second one I have owned. I had it for 3 years and I used it a lot. Mostly wire feed. O got really used to it and it was doing a great job. However one day the wire feed and and the urgent to the handle quit working. For as much work that I did with it I was not surprised. I dug into it a little but couldn't find anything obvious. I did check to see if the stick welder worked and it did. So I liked the machine so such I just bought another one and will use that one for wire feed and leave the old one hooked up for stick welding. Like I said for the money it's a great machine. I have an older AC DC high amperage buzz box welder that since I owned the hitbox I barley use it unless I am welding thicker metals.

Awesome
Wasn't sure at first with this being as little as it is, but after using this now on a couple of different projects I've been wanting to get done, I have a new look at it. Preforms a lot better than expecting. Easy to read display, and easy to use dials for fine tuning exactly what your looking for with tour weld! Replacing the wife is easy as can be. Light weight and portability were a must have for me and got both with this unit. Though the ground clamp could be a little stronger as I've used it quite a few times now and the clamp has seemed to have warped rather quickly from being such a soft metal base. This hitbox has outperformed a welder of similar stance from Harbor Freight. Would recommend for a very affordable price, probability, and easy to use basis.

Simple to use.
Well I used it and it seems to work pretty good, I bought glasses not full face mask and the energy burned my face so I'll have to get a full face in the future but it does work with ease.you will have to string the wire . fairly easy.

Attachments are nice for the tig stick or mig
For not being big name brand or big in size it sure packs a weld, very versatile machine and recommended for the DIY navy home users cant say if its durable enough to last if it was used daily but good cheap machine

Mighty Little Machine
This is a fantastic little machine! I tested it on 110v. I did a little wire(MIG)welding at first, then a little (Arc)stick welding and it was flawless. I was shocked I didn't have to crank the Amperage being 110, but I didn't have to. I dialed it about half maybe a little less. Perfect!! The unit itself is small but lightweight. I love how compact it is and easy to carry with you. A lot of bang for your buck w/ this dual/voltage 3 in 1 welder (Arc, Mig, Tig) Please note the Tig torch does not come with unit. Overall, I'm extremely happy w/ this purchase and would highly recommend this set up to anyone who's into welding. Weather you're a beginner or a pro, you will find this machine fills the need for a welder and does it well! Plus if you're new to welding the controls are very easy to read and it's extremely easy to use.

Follow the picture for flux-core/MIG, BUT NOT THE WRITTEN INSTRUCTIONS.
First thing I did was break the welder because the instructions tell you to plug the grounding clip into the negative terminal. This caused the wire to bunch up in the cable coming from the welder to the gun. Luckily I'm capable enough to take the thing apart and fix it. Then I had the thought to look at the picture, which contradicted the instructions. So I connected the grounding clip to the positive terminal. Then the welder worked fine. I'm not sure if this is better or worse. It's nice that you're not holding the positive in your hand, but then anything touching the workpiece is live. Once you get past the fact that the instructions don't make any sense at all, this is a decent welder for the low price. Just make sure you are very careful setting it up, and do small tests that can't jeopardize the entire system. For your first test welds, don't have the wire come directly out into the workpiece. Let the wire come out, then hit the trigger and move the wire across the workpiece. This way you only glance off the piece if there's no electrical potential. As others have stated, this is really only for flux-core and stick. There's no inlet for gas, so the description is just completely incorrect.

Nice upgrade to an intermediate skill level
I upgraded from an old 110V Chicago Electric 125 MIG gasless wire feed. This tiny welder makes you feel like you know how to weld like a pro after using that Chicago for years. It’s so easy to setup (adjust your feed and voltage) and lay beautiful welds. Lots of power on both the 110V and 220v. Light weight and precise. Love it. The only complaint I have is that the gasless MIG wire pushes through the cable assembly at the connector whenever you accidentally weld your wire to the tip. (Wire sticks at the tip or inside the tip) Not sure if the wire has voltage when exiting there. But You have to take the cable apart at the welder side and remove or pull back the wire and re feed it from inside the welder or at the cable. Obviously a rookie move that I will have to overcome but basically that functionality isn’t as forgiving on this welder as it was on my old welder.

Welder is really good.
Love the unit. Works great. This is really handy to be able to pick up the unit without having to use a dolly. Display is easy to read.
