The Flea Markets of France

I originally borrowed this book from a friend when I took my first trip to France. It didn't disappoint! It was so on point and I used it to plan our travels to different areas and towns. I didn't want to give it back once we got home! I just had to order it for myself. We have been back since and still use it each time. Of course over time, some flea markets will move locations but you should still find something in the area fun to do or as the book suggests some local fare and locations to try.

When my younger brother found out I bought this book in preparation for an upcoming visit to France his reaction was "So wait, you're going to France to go to garage sales?" Yeah, and what pray tell is so weird about that? Can you image anything more fun than going to a vintage clothing store in Paris?!! Or how about a flea market near Orleans that specializes in gardening tools etc? If you are now salivating at such possibilities you know this book is for you. It even includes important French phrases that every bargain shopper needs to know. What could be better?

Great book - I like to know where these markets are - and when they are open - and what they sell/quality etc. When you are travelling often you find you hvae arrived the day before a great market - or it is closed on the day you have chose to go - so I love having the info from this book to go by. The information is thorough, and gives you a lot more about areas than just the markets. Very happy with the purchase

Excellent little book. Found flea market to visit while in Paris. Gave great information and was pleasant to read. Covers all of France.

The book looks like a pocket book, very cute. Next thanks giving I will be going to France and I will take this little guide everywhere I go to try to visit every single flea market in France.Not many pictures but lots of address. By the way all the pictures are very well taken I felt I was in one of the Markets.

This book gave us just the information we needed to have an enjoyable flea market experience in France! From choosing which flea market(s) to visit to how to get there and much other helpful information, this book helped to give us some of our best experiences in France.

Alleine schon von der Aufmachung her handelt es sich um ein tolles Buch. Und wer des Englischen mächtig ist, findet ausführliche Tipps und Adressen rund um die französischen Floh-, Trödel- und Antikmärkte, inklusive Kategorisierunng vom Preisniveau, Warenangebot. Allerdings und deshalb auch nur 4 Sterne, beschränkt sich die Beschreibung nur auf die großen, teilweise eh schon bekannten Märkte.

Brilliant, gave it to my daughter in law who can't wait to visit me and use the book to find great bargains.....a great success, beautiful photos and handy size.

If you like visiting flea/antique markets in France, this is a good book to buy. Split into regions so easy to use. The author mentions which markets are best to visit if you are a serious collector or just a bargain hunter, and which ones are not. There's information on what you will find in each of the markets, prices, number of vendors, dates and opening times etc. Other attractions are mentioned in each area such as places to eat and visit. Overall a handy to book to have, which we found useful on our recent trip to Nice.
