Awesome product but...
This in-wall TV & Soundbar kit is really well put together. I was happy to see the quality of it when i first opened the box. This kit did not work the best for my application but that does not discredit this product in the least bit. I chose to mount my TV & Soundbar above my fireplace. The layout I had was not the best for the application of this particular TV & Soundbar kit. I had to make modifications to the kit to make it work for me. A few reasons why this kit just did not work for me is because I had to drill thru multiple studs, with a fairly large hole due to the connector being so large, not being able to disassemble the connector so I could just feed the wire thru and rewire the connector and the the unknown anomalies that I did not know about that were in the wall making it very difficult to use this kit. So, in the end I ended up wiring the first plug to a hot wire that was part of my propane fireplace switch/thermostat. Not using the 2nd plug and the soundbar cutout because it wasn't necessary because I have a Samsung TV with the one connect box. I plugged my soundbar into the first connector and that was it. Although, the Samsung Power cord doesn't fit the best into the Ecogear plug due to Samsung's plug design. But, it works with a little bit of effort. In conclusion, I would not use this kit to mount above a fireplace unless its new construction or you plan on cutting away lots of sheet rock and insulation. If this is just going in a hallow wall, this kit would be very simple to install.

Very well put together. Excellent purchase
This was great. The instructions are clear and humorous. Installation was straightforward and the end result looks fantastic. The included tools made installation much easier than it might otherwise have been. It can definitely help to also have some wire fishing tools, but they're readily and affordablly available on Amazon. Essentially you just check for the absence of live wires and studs. Cut two holes with the hole saw and one with the drywall saw. I recommend installing the included power splitter into the outlet before hanging your television.

Bad at cable management? Shove it in the wall!
For years my TV cabinet was plagued by cables EVERYWHERE. It looked terrible. Now my cables are just as messy, but they are inside the wall! Believe it or not, that is better. In all seriousness, this was a great buy. It was easy to install, I was able to cut through my 1" thick plaster with a $30 cordless drill I bought ten years ago. Well, the first hole did, the second the battery didnt quite hold up. Not the fault of the kit though. A wired drill buzzed right through. I didnt use the included drywall knife, instead I drilled a 1/2" hole and got a Sawzall blade in there and cut the rectangle that way. Much easier! Fishing cords was the worse part. Doing the lower outlet was fine, drop it and it went. Going up did not work at all. I stopped by a local store and bought a roll of steel fishing tape for $20. That made quick work of getting the upper outlet sent up, as well as various HDMI cables. I highly recommend that. Another tip, put your holes near a stud. I didnt do this intentionally, but it worked out nicely as I was able to aim the fishing tape at the stud which made it easy to grab. Be sure to get LONG cables. I bought a 10ft cable to go from the TV to the lower plug into my entertainment stand, and a 6ft cable to go from my soundbar into the entertainment stand. Neither was long enough. Keep in mind these cables are a pain to run, you want to do it once with the best cables you can get so you can forget about it for 10 years. I ultimately got 5 meter cables (about 16ft) which gave me some slack on both ends, and reused the 10ft cables to go from the soundbar. I would gladly install this kit again or use the similar kit without the soundbar attachment. My dad, who was acting as a pair of extra hands (and owner of many tools), was extremely impressed with the ease of use and professional looking end result. He has the classic outside the wall cable track setup on his TV and was considering picking one of these wall kits up after seeing how it turned out at my house.

Everything you need.
Very good instructions along with a drywall saw and 3 hole bit made the job lots easier. Nothing else to buy.

The best investment for the entertainment this far!
I hated the ugly wires dangling down under the tv, sound bar, and to the dvd player and outlet below. This kit is top notch on quality, construction, ease of use and functionality. As a bonus it also includes the hole saw kit and Sheetrock saw of good quality! Kit installed flawlessly and I have no visible wires now! 10/10 would recommend and would buy again!
