Great little controller.
Love the controller. Of course it's Kato! The newer black color is better. The unit is very light.

Did not come with the power cord
This is the second one I got. The first one came in a train set and did have everything I needed to operate the train. I bought this separately do to the fact I’m running a separate main line making two main lines total. Unfortunately I can’t because I have no power source. I gave it 4 stars do to the fact that the other controller works well but I am disappointed in this seller by sending me this controller without the cord to power it. Not real happy.

Great controller from Kato with an SX update
Have been using Kato power unit for years now, and after reading review decided to upgrade to the new SX transformer, and boy what a difference in very slow control of my Japanese trams, and the constant lighting inside the cars when they are sitting still at the station loading passengers. Glad I made the decision to upgrade to the new Kato power unit ... hope you decide that too.

It is necessary to be part of a pair.
I am glad to have it, but I am having trouble getting the power pack 22-083 which goes with it.

Great quality
Did not come with a transformer plug. Had to purchase separately. No mention of that in original advertisement. Works perfectly though

Good value purchase. Use with N or HO gauge trains depending on power supply attached to controller. Power supply purchased separately. Instructions give details of correct PSU to purchase. Nice quality, synonymous with Kato products. Plug and play if used with Kato Unitrack and accessories.
