Excellent Bronze-Colored Filament, Cooling Is Critical
I consider this filament color (when printed properly) to be more of a slightly antiqued bronze. This is by far the least expensive filament I've found in the bronze family, and I love it. It did take me a few tries to dial things in with this filament. My first few tests turned out dull, but I turned down the heat to 210, increased cooling speed, and printed in thin layers (0.1mm) and I was able to get a very nice metallic sheen. I found rapid cooling was essential for getting the color right-- too slow, and the result is more of a muddy brown than bronze (in the attached picture you can see the left-most tip of the submarine is duller than the rest). Overall I'm *very* happy with the filament, and at $23, it's the best value I've found for a metallic bronze-like filament.Print Experience:I had very little stringing, and bridging with the filament worked very well (rapid cooling helped here as well). My last print with this filament took over 24 hours, so there was ample time for heat creep and other issues, but I did not experience and separation of the coloring agent from the filament medium as described by other reviewers. As an added bonus, this filament seems to be slightly more brittle than others I've used, which allowed model supports to break away cleanly. All other general factors (bed adhesion, layer lamination, spool wind, etc.) have been fine through the entire roll.Print Setup:- Printer: Ender 3 (stock bowden tube/extruder/hot end)- Firmware: Marlin 2.0.6- Upgraded filament cooling fan (5015 fan)- Slicer: Cura 4.6Settings:- Hot end temp: 210- Bed temp: 60- Linear advance enabled

My favorite Gold.
I've tried a ton of different silk metallic colors trying to narrow down all of my favorites. This is my favorite Gold. It's not even close. I have bought several rolls, I haven't even kept count I just print stuff until I'm out and then I order more and I print more stuff with it.It's easy. Lots of silk has issues where it needs to be dried more and longer, printed slower, doesn't have as good adhesion. That might be true here, but to a lesser extent than any other silk I have ever used, full stop. This stuff prints more like matte, boring filament that I use to print strong things I intend to paint over later. The difference is I don't have to paint it. The color looks great. It's the most convincing gold/worn or antique gold color I have ever found. It looks nicer than half of the gold spraypaints I've tried. It honestly just looks like metal with some prints from good angles. If you want to make statues out of something, you cannot go wrong with it.It prints as easy as matte PLA, it looks better than a lot of premium silk PLA, and it costs just slightly more than the regular known brands of basic PLA everyone uses. I love coextruded stuff and I love color shifting silks, but this looks just as good or better with a lot of prints for sometimes nearly half the price. I could have a hundred rolls and never get tired of it. It's the only kind I don't even hesitate about to try other brands or compare things with anymore.

Very nice color, and prints like butter!
I’ve been 3D printing for about 9 years now and I’ve never tried this brand before but I’m glad I did!I love the muted color. It’s shiny, but not overpowering. It kind of reminds me of an antique bronze since real gold doesn’t really get tarnished. It lays down like a dream! I used it in my Bambu Labs x-1c using the stock setting for generic silk pla. It’s nicely wound and gave me no snags!I’ll be looking to see if they offer other colors too!I can’t find any cons to this filament and I will definitely be back for more!

Very nice looking filament.
I got this filament so that I could make some containers for my medications. I would not recomend doing this for any meds you have if you take them with you. Keep the original container and label as well. Since I have multiple bottles of the same just transferred label over.I also did weigh the spool and was significantly less than 1kg. I believe they also included the spool in the weight. Maybe just this spool? Don’t know did request replacement. Will send this back. Too many failed printsVery smooth texture, nice and shiny too. Filament seems very consistent to about 1.73-1.76. Print adhered very well without any tricks. Using standard sticker for bed (not PEI, it’s the other sticker type forget the name). Using with flashforge creator pro 2016 model as well as my pro.

Gorgeous Color; Amazing Bed Adhesion
Lovely color—an actual bronzy gold instead of the shiny yellow of most gold silk filaments. It matches the product photo almost exactly, though you can alter it to be slightly more bronze by printing at a lower temperature. My cheap camera doesn't do the color justice, but I included the dragons to show the difference nozzle temperature makes: the one on the left was printed at 210 degrees, while the one on the right was printed at 200 degrees, both with a brass nozzle. (Yes, 200 is lower than the manufacturer's recommendation of 210-220. Yes, I failed to pay attention.)This stuff sticks to the bed like a dream! I've included photos of a Celtic-y bookmark, and you can see from the in-progress photo's tiny ovals how well the filament sticks to the bed. I have filament by other brands that isn't able to handle that design. Also? Not stringy.I'm on my third roll and haven't noticed any poor winding or had any clogging.
