Cute story and amazing pictures (as always) from Jan Brett. Perfect winter book.

Bought this for a neighbor having her second child. She already had all the accoutrements from her first child, so this was a perfect buy for her. The beautiful drawings & story will entertain both children through the years.

This book has all the feels! My Kindergarteners really enjoyed it and every page has more details added, so it was great for comprehension as well. It's a keeper!

I really like the illustrations and my daughters loved these books growing up. Now I am buying them for my great nieces and nephew.

Much like the bear stays up for Christmas. He really wishes he could stay awake to witness winter he barely does and then gets put back in his bureau to hibernate. Super cute story.

I always enjoy Jan Brett's illustrations. This is a very cute, cozy story for winter. I like having some "winter"books to put out after Christmas, when the Christmas books are put away. This is perfect. Little hedgehog tries to stay up to see some of the wonders of winter. The little girl finds him almost frozen in the snow, and he gets to spend several days inside, watching winter happen outside the window, until he just can't stay awake any longer. At the end, the little girl carefully puts him in his den so he can sleep until spring. I really enjoyed this one and my kids did as well, especially my just-turned 4 and just-turned 6 year olds.

My 4 year old in Pre-K loved this book! It is so cozy and silly. Cannot wait to add more from Jan Brett to our winter collection!
