Great Air Hammer
Barely more expensive than a no-name tool and works superbly. Very easy to control, virtually no kickback (you can barely feel it's operating) and the quick release works perfectly. Awesome air tool at an awesome price.

Good chisel gun for the money!
Quick delivery overnight helped me to continue working on my ancient trailer that I am rebuilding. Purchased the trailer from Home Depot back in the early 90’s and worked well for our needs. Cost ratio is good and the zip gun as we call it around here worked incredibly well. My old one would not provide enough force to break over a dozen carriage bolts that were rusted. This did! The chisels with this are good and not too light. I purchased a different set to use with this gun and the metal chisels were all too soft so went back and used the chisels that came along with the gun and worked well. As another reviewer pointed out, make sure you add pneumatic gun which would help the gun work properly. I had some oil but couldn’t find it and I think it would have worked much better if I oiled it first.

Effective air hammer and cost effective.
Just want to leave a review on this great air hammer. I know it is not in the high end nor is it in the low end of air hammers, but for me DIY it allow me to reclaim bricks from a fallen brick wall. Chisel bit easily removed mortar and break wall down to manage demolition. Easy to handle with control valve. I’m sure I will take advantage of it others uses. Solid tool. Make sure to oil air inlet and grease bit connection for longevity.

Great Quality Air Hammer
The Ingersoll Rand 114GQC Air Hammer is a compact and powerful tool designed for various automotive and industrial applications. This air-powered hammer is built for heavy-duty use, making it a popular choice among professionals and DIY enthusiasts alike. After using the 114GQC, I would rate my overall satisfaction level as a solid 4 out of 5.Build Quality:The Ingersoll Rand 114GQC boasts a robust construction that feels durable and reliable in hand. The metal housing and sturdy components suggest that this tool can withstand the rigors of frequent use. It’s clear that Ingersoll Rand has designed this air hammer to last, which is a major plus for anyone looking for longevity in their tools.Value for Money:In terms of value, the 114GQC offers a good balance between price and performance. While it might be on the higher end compared to some competitors, the quality and effectiveness justify the investment. For professionals who rely on their tools daily, the price is well worth it.Ease of Use:This air hammer is relatively easy to operate, even for those who may be new to using pneumatic tools. The controls are intuitive, and the lightweight design makes it manageable during extended use. However, it’s advisable to have a proper air compressor to maximize its efficiency.Speed:The speed at which this air hammer operates is impressive. This ergonomic design is essential for minimizing fatigue, especially during prolonged use.Power:While the power is generally strong, I found it lacking a little bit in certain heavy-duty applications. It performs well for most tasks, but for those needing extreme force, it might not be sufficient. However, it still gets the job done for the majority of users. In my personal experience, the Ingersoll Rand 114GQC has proven to be a reliable and effective air hammer. While it could use a bit more power for the toughest jobs, it excels in speed, ease of use, and overall quality. I would recommend this tool to anyone in need of a dependable air hammer, especially if you are looking for a balance of performance and affordability. Just ensure your air compressor can keep up with its demands for optimal performance.

Great product - Instruction for removing security tag
This air hammer worked perfectly for my application. Just make sure to oil it through the air inlet before using it. Others have provided valuable and relevant performance information so I won't cover the same information. However, the one item that is missing in the reviews is how to remove the plastic safety tag installed on the air inlet. I have included a photo of the plastic safety tag. You can see that the tag is composed of an outer shell, a flat keeper plate with two plastic nubs, and a plastic bolt that screws into the air inlet. To unscrew the plastic bolt from the air inlet you will need to dissassemble the tag by pressing on the two plastic nubs that extend through the rear plastic shell with a pair of pliers, or simply cut the nubs off with a pair of dykes. This will allow you to separate the plastic shell from the plastic keeper, thus exposing the plastic bolt. Once the plastic bolt is exposed simply use a socket to remove the bolt from the air inlet. - As I have already stated, this is a solid and reliable impact hammer and I would recommend it to anyone needing an air hammer.

Tip-Taking off the black security plug
Excellent quality for a middle weight air hammer. I used it for knocking out the axle from the hub to replace a Tacoma CV axle and ball joints. The manual calls for taking off the rust inhibitor that it ships from the factory with before using. I suspect the rust inhibitor reacts negatively with air tool oil so they want you to clean it out by operating the tool first 15 seconds with a cleaner liquid. I used Brake Cleaner inside the cylinder to clean it out before adding the recommended 3ml of air tool oil. 20 drops equals about 1ml. Operate the tool for another 15 seconds to spread the oil internally then you are ready to go.The black plug must be removed to install a hose fitting. I used a flat blade screwdriver and popper the back cover off revealing a plastic bolt plug and the security shoplifting tag. A 15mm a socket removes it easily.
