The first thing to note is that UMF is a more advanced and complete grading system than MGO. UMF measures more factors than just the level of methylglyoxal (MGO/MG) in the Manuka Honey. UMF takes into consideration: - MGO - Leptosperin (indicator that the honey comes from the Manuka plant) - Dihydroxyacetone (DHA) - in the nectar of the Manuka flower - Non-peroxide activity (NPA) This means the scale of UMF works very differently to MGO products and a difference of 2UMF is quite significant. For example a UMF20+ product has an MGO of 826 and a product with UMF22+ would have an MGO of 968. UMF5+ - You are looking for a natural sweetener that supports a healthy lifestyle. UMF10+ - You are looking for a natural sweetener that supports a healthy lifestyle. UMF15+ - You are looking for a more potent product to support everyday health and wellness.
