Q: Does it float on water?

I used this to make a dream catcher but not tried to put it in water. It’s quite light though. Sorry I can’t help more.

Q: is there a split/join so you can fit them to an existing bag?

the handle is one moulded piece and does not have a split or a join. They are made from one piece of moulded plastic and are beautifully smooth. if you want to fit it to an existing bag, You could cut the handle with a hacksaw, feed the handle through your bags existing channel and then super glue the ends together, but this will weaken the handle.
