I recently used this tool to effortlessly remove the transmission from my car, and I must say it was specifically designed for this task. The angled saddle kept the bellhousing securely in place, preventing any rocking, while the straps further ensured its stability. What I love most is how the screw jack mechanism flawlessly operated with just a 1/2" ratchet, making the whole process stress-free. Not only did I manage to pull out the transmission by myself, but I also felt completely safe throughout. The simplicity for future maintenance and repairs is a standout feature for me, especially when compared to hydraulic systems. The “W” shaped design of the support the transmission rests on is very unstable due to its shape and the fact that transmissions are flat at the pan. The wing nuts that allow the lift to tilt a bit don’t hold the base in it’s position and lets the transmission shift which makes it difficult to install transmissions. If you think this design of lift might work for you there’s an exact version at Harbor freight for more than half the price with a much better designed till feature!

This little guy is going to come in handy

The jack itself did the job, although the transmission was very unstable on it. We had to place a rubber knelling may between the jack and transmission to keep it still. Our problem was that the ratchet strap was inoperable when the time came to release it-- it wouldn't let go even though the release was engaged/disengaged. We had to cut the strap to get the transmission loose.

Please be careful when using a socket because it may disfigure the nut to raise and lower.
