One of my favorites
I loved this book! I cannot stress this enough. I found the story an characters amazing. You can really feel all the characters emotion through the detail and story telling. I could always see a clear image in my mind of character expression and placement never feeling confused of how I felt something was playing out. The ending is set from the beginning." I will be talking about the ending here so spoilers albiet if you have looked into this book you know what's coming. " When you start reading this book you know what's going to happen, you know how this all ends, you expect and anticipate it. I have read many books with sad endings "Your Lie in April" "Clannad" just to name two. So I thought that when I got to that conclusion that I was already sure of that I could take it. This was going to be the one that I didn't feel would stab my heart and make me cry my eyes out. I was so wrong. When I got to the part that anyone that reads this book saw coming I broke. When *boy who I get along with*-kun reads back Living With Dying I couldn't help but cry through the whole thing. Especially the letters I could just imagine Sakura as she was writing down all this letter and I felt it. It was a powerful chapter and one that will stick with for a long time. Now I don't want to spoil everything just wanted to talk about something we knew was coming from the beginning. I would recommend this book to everyone i know that reads. "and I have" Please if you are on the fence about this book just get it.

Scintillating young adult romance that will make you tear up...and smile..
I've heard mention of this book so many times that I always assumed it was a horror story or some wild kiddie tale. Never even thought it would be a real literary gem. It's 10 years since the author published this light novel and here I am just discovering the beautiful, touching story that it is today. I can't believe I waited this long! Lovingly crafted characters with unforgettable quirks. I even ventured to watch the movie / adaptation and fell in love with the young actors! Great read! I'll research more works by Yoru Sumino.

MUST READ!
If you are only going to read one book this year, make it this one. Don't let the title turn you away, nor the idea of it being a "Lite Novel". This story will fill your heart. The characters are strong and relatable. Buy it, read it, and pass it along to someone you care about. They'll thank you.

A beautiful, heart-wreching, and touching story.
Not gonna lie, I found the title hilarious. Since this has been the topic of the anime community since it's anime movie adaptation was announced, I was curious to see what it was about. So after watching the trailer, I was intrigued. I was surprised to see the light novel on sale and decided to buy the paperback after reading the sample on the Kindle app. Those who read the "Your Lie in April" manga or watched it's anime adaptation, will find the premise familiar. However, this light novel stands apart from the former. The novel is about a girl named Sakura Yamauchi, a 17 year old high schooler diagnosed with a terminal pancreatic disease. She's kept this secret from everyone outside the family, that is until one day a boy from her class inadvertently discovers her secret. The novel it's written from this classmates perspective, and he promises not disclose this secret at school. Without giving too much details of the story, the main protagonist is an introvert and keeps to himself. Yet Sakura spends time with him after learning her secret, and the story goes on to build a relationship between our protagonists.I loved the chemistry between the main characters, and as I read on, I've gotten attached to them and their struggles. There are a few typos on this translation were I had to re-read to understand. But overall it was a beautiful, heart wrenching and tear jerking story.

Beautiful, Uplifting, Inspiring, Amazing!
This anime light novel will always remain dear to my heart!I Want to Eat Your Pancreas is a deeply-beautiful, wholesome story of love and loss, with a uniquely-inspiring take on the concepts of human mortality, what living truly means, and how beautiful it is to be alive! The novel is amazingly well-written and engaging. After maybe two-three chapters, the two main protagonists quickly felt like longtime friends to me.It's narrated from the perspective of Sakura's classmate, who reads a page from her journal, learning that she's dying of pancreatic disease. I felt the first-person storytelling worked incredibly-well, especially during very emotional scenes and chapters. This light novel may always hold a special place in my heart! I loved it so much! Even though their story is over, I can still feel the aura of Sakura and her classmate. I felt like I knew them. And I'll be more than happy to meet them again, and to experience their story again!A book this good needs a reread!
