Good value
Blower fan in my Silverado died & i replaced it with this unit. works perfectly. It came with new wiring cable to replace any melted wires. Installation was a PITA due to the location under the dash, but other than that, I'm happy with the item.

Matched OE for 2001 Chevy Suburban
It can be really frustrating looking for quality replacements for parts like this, because there are so many vendors offering "alternatives" that may "fit," but aren't really the same quality or configuration as your OE. It doesn't help that Chevy/GM (and other "American" auto companies) have shopped so much of their replacement part business on older cars out to Chinese manufacturers. Even "tried and true" OE vendors like AC Delco are having many of "their" parts manufactured in China. GM/Chevy is doing it too. They contract with a Chinese company to make the parts to conform with OE specs, slap their packaging/labels on the parts, and charge you more for them ... for GM/Chevy parts, a LOT more. I have ordered a lot of such parts for my 2001 Suburban, mainly because there's nothing else available any more. This particular blower fan is made in China, and I did find it to be almost identical to my factory OE. Getting the blower out of its fitting and the new one into place is "easy," as everyone has said. Getting AT the location where the fan is installed, however, not so easy. It's literally at the bottom of the dash/HVAC unit, right above the floorboards, all the way forward to the firewall. Getting two free hands, a light, AND your eyes in there, close enough to see what the h*** you're doing, is murder. Even harder if your vehicle still has the original, insulated bell housing covering the base of the fan. The padding/insulation in this housing helps to hold the fan snugly in place and minimize vibration. The front screw securing that housing in place is easy to see/get at/remove ... the one in the back is nearly impossible ... you can't see it at all, you have to feel around for it and wedge your wrench between the floorboard and back of the housing to get at it. Once I finally located the screw, got my socket on it, and successfully removed it/the housing, I had to give up trying to put the rear screw back after I had installed the new fan. Hard as I tried, I simply could not get the housing in the exact position needed to get the screw re-set/re-started in the hole it came out of. Other than that, the fan itself went in fine, with all the connection points being a "plug and play" match for my OE, and it seems to be working just as well so far.

So far so good.

Slightly taller than OEM, locking tabs are not as long.
Slightly taller than OEM which makes putting motor cover back on slightly more difficult. Overall this is a good value and the dimensional differences are not a deal breaker. Minus 1 star due to slight dimensional differences vs OEM.The locking tabs were not as long, which created some wiggle when fully seated but once the motor cover is reinstalled everything is snug.Once installed, motor cover mounted and duct cover re-installed, I found no air leaks, funny noises or vibrations. If you have a failed or failing (squeaky) blower motor this is your solution. Even though I docked 1 star, I would buy again and can recommend to others.

Great value
It was a direct fit in 03 Escalade just rember when you install this you must use the foam seal that’s around the top of your old fan motor so don’t destroy the old foam seal or throw away the fan motor before you install this one

Warning! Does not come complete. Missing parts.
Warning! Does not come complete. You must use a foam gasket when installing to prevent rattling and air leaking. On this cheap motor the gasket is not included. OEM or a better quality motors will have the gasket needed for installation. Your old gasket will likely be worn out and falling apart. You can't buy another gasket because GM no longer makes them. You have to buy a second higher quality motor to get the new gasket needed for installation. Product returned.

I Have Heat Again!
Was having some issues with the heating and AC in my 2003 Yukon and did some YouTube digging to figure out the problem. Previously replaced the resistor (which solved the problem for a day or two), but I still had some squealing when it was running and then it eventually stopped working altogether. I found this on Amazon for WAY cheaper than in stores and swapped it out in about 10 minutes and everything's back to normal!NOTE: I did come across a video from a shop that aid if you're replacing one of these components, you'll likely want to go ahead a do both at the same time because even with a new resistor, a faulty blower could put strain on it and end up damaging that as well. Wish I knew that before I did the first repair, but all's good now and I'm nice and toasty in my car again in this snowy Ohio weather!
