Ashtanga Yoga Practice Cards: The Primary Series [MacGregor, Kino] on desertcart.com. *FREE* shipping on qualifying offers. Ashtanga Yoga Practice Cards: The Primary Series Review: Very useful tool to supplement the Power of Ashtanga Yoga book also by Kino - I thoroughly agree with other 5 star reviews. High quality cards, easy to use, great pictures of a pose done perfectly. Cards simplify creating and following sequences and that's why I love them. Compared to learning or remembering how to get into a pose with book in hand, it is definitely much more convenient using these cards. Text is very similar to Kino's book on the primary series (The Power of Ashtanga Yoga: Developing a Practice That Will Bring You Strength, Flexibility, and Inner Peace--Includes the complete Primary Series). So the cards are useful for an experienced yogi familiar with how cues are given by in-class instructions. It's very challenging to read along the text while actually doing the poses; or to memorize all the text and cues before trying a pose out. Likely best uses: for an instructor to read aloud, or provide a reminder of how a pose should look and feel. The cards don't show modifications for progression to the pictured prototype. Grouping and color coding the different types of poses is nice. Card numbering order does not progress from simple to challenging. A Base pose can be right next to one requiring years of practice. Rearrange them to match your own intention for a practice session. Review: Highly recommend - I am satisfied with these yoga cards. They are the exact series with the proper names. The price was reasonable. It was a little while for shipping but it was worth the wait. These are so far the only cards that I have seen that are accurate. Thank you to whoever made these cards.

Best as a supplement to an already established practice, or for teacher training.
Likes: 1. Good quality. 2. Large enough to use for a daily practice. 3. Portability 4. Presentation/detail 5. Versatile/customizable Dislikes: 1. They don’t tell you when to do a vinyasa or jump through, which is fine for someone who has the sequence more or less memorized. It could also be written in on the cards. 2. To get maximum benefits, you’d likely need kino’s other book, ashtanga yoga 1, which I do have. That’s how I plan on writing in the vinyasas. 3. If you already have the book, this is all repeated information. It’s just less information and more versatile. Other: I love this set; it’s beautiful, I can create custom sequences, and memorize the sequence before I sign up for kino’s teacher training. This could possibly be most beneficial for teachers, home practice, memorization, and customization. I have a major issue with my right lower leg due to metal and screws near the ankle, and I have created sequences with that in mind. The cards don’t include the Sanskrit counts. (You could write them in). Also, modifications are not shown in most photos. Final thoughts: These are probably not for the absolute beginner unless you have some other things, such as: 1. Her ashtanga 1 book 2. Omstars subscription, which I highly recommend. 3. An alignment mat. If you’ve been practicing for a while, or are preparing for teacher training, these would be an excellent addition to your practice.

Big Cards
I love how big the cards are. I have others that are the size of playing cards and they are difficult to hold and read. Kino did a great job and is very thorough. The only I would include on cards are the Sanskrit count for vinyasas. Thank you Kino! 🙏🏽

Great Cards with Great Information
Big Fan of Kino and these cards are great for beginner practicing Mysore. Great quality and nicely printed. I wish they are smaller and lighter but with all the information and knowledge provided I guess it harder to fit into a smaller card.

perfect for my yoga teacher training!
I LOVE LOVE LOVE these cards. So gorgeous, large, easy to read. Well made. Perfect for yoga teacher trainees or anyone who wants to review poses. This deck has inspired me to go back to Ashtanga after a long time away. Thanks Kino!

Very well made
Very nicely done, sturdy cards, large print, poses displayed nicely by a very fit yogi. Grouped by standing and seating postures, in correct Ashtanga sequence. My only complaint is that the cards fit too tightly in the carton, difficult to get out individually.

Love it
There's so many moves that I can barely remember them when I get home so I love having them all at my fingertips and being able to pick out the ones I need to work on the most so I don't have to look through the whole thing.

I love this teacher she is great I was very disappointed to receive these cards in such a poor condition. The box is broken and the seller does not have a replacement. So I need to stick with my 1500 inr damaged product, really bad service, check the video it is not like a new product should look like.
