Great book for children who love technology
While updated or twisted fairy tales have been popular for many years now, this book used a concept I've never seen before. What if the characters were given a laptop with unfettered online access and no adult supervision? Needless to say, it starts out quite fun for characters like Jack, Cinderella, Red Riding Hood, Rapunzel, the Three Little Pigs, and even the Big Bad Wolf. But they soon realize there are consequences to being online, and especially to online orders without passwords! The Fairy Godmother has to save the day and teach the children about appropriate online usage. My daughter and I enjoyed the book It did a great job showing the appeal of technology, as well as the potential for problems. But it was done in a way that wasn't scary. One concern I had was that the Fairy Godmother was just going to magic away all the technology, making the problem go away unrealistically. Instead, she took on the parental role of supervising usage and teaching the children to use technology appropriately. It's a great way to introduce conversations about technology in a fun and age appropriate manner.

Love this book!
This is such a lovely book for children growing up in today's world of technology. The book features lots of recognisable children's characters such as jack in the bean stalk, rapunzel, the three little pigs etc. Jack finds a laptop and doesn't know what to do. He shows Cinderella who knows just what to do and before long the characters have all ordered wonderful things online, but before long a huge bill arrives! Thankful the fairy god mother is on hand to help make the bill go away and shares her wisdom with the characters to always ask a grown up before going online! My kids (aged four) love this book! It's beautifully illustrated, easy to read and a great book!

A great rhyming, fairy-tale story!
A really lovely, action packed story about well known fairy-tale characters who find a laptop one day and decide to do some online shopping! In the end the Fairy Godmother has to come and sort everything out and put things back to normal. She teaches them that they must always ask an adult before using the internet as it can cause some problems!

A fun way to talk online safety
A great rhyming picture book for ages 3-6 offering a modern take on the traditional fairytale. Full of humour and with delightful illustrations this book is a great way of introducing the online world to the youngest of bookworms. It is a great conversation starter about online safety and it emphasises the importance of checking with a grown up before going online. The story itself is set in Fairytale Land. When a laptop falls from the sky, the fairytale characters soon discover the ups and downs of the online world. Cinderella faces a very long bill after too much online shopping; the Three Little Pigs are bored because the Big Bad Wolf is busy gaming; and Rapunzel is unable to talk to her Prince because of a technical glitch! They are all reluctant to keep using the new technology until the Fairy Godmother shows them that, with a little guidance, there is still a lot of fun to be had online.I read this story to a five year old and an almost three year old and we would all recommend this book.

Such a good read for those who allow their children to use technology
It has all the different fairytale characters that we all know and love, joined together in one story! It starts off with Jack in the beanstalk but as he goes to climb the beanstalk he gets distracted by a parcel that falls from the sky. Inside this parcel is a laptop. The story continues with the different characters using the laptop to buy different items. I wonβt tell you what they all buy as it will ruin the story for you. But it all ends in disaster when cinderella receives a huuge bill for everything thats been ordered by her and her fairytale friends! Luckily her fairy godmother saves the day!The lesson being taught to children in this story is to always ask an adult before going online and always show an adult what you are doing if you are online. My step son absolutely loved this story and was amazed by the beautifully detailed illustrations and the contrasting colours which have been used throughout the book. His concentration remained on the book throughout and since we read it, he has been asking an adult before he does anything on his tablet!
