Indispensable before your IR sub-internship
Very to-the-point overview of the field and the relevant knowledge you need for a rotation. The chapters build on one another as well. Recommend reading this book as your first IR textbook before more detailed/technical guides like the one by Kandarpa.

Essential resource for IR rotations
I bought this book at the beginning of my first IR rotation, and it was a game changer. My service was busy, and often there wasn't much time (if any) between the next case or consult. The beauty of this text as opposed to others is in its to-the-point brevity -- easy to pull out and skim over the relevant section for a few minutes before going into the procedural room or to see a patient and know the highlights of what's going on without the fluff. As a study resource at home, I also found it very easy to read and digest. The chapters are well-written and provide an excellent foundation for IR, especially when first starting out as a trainee. I do not usually write reviews for medical texts but this book transformed what could have been a really tough rotation into one in which I excelled. Highly recommend.
