Fun and educational
Our 3.5 y.o. loves this book, and is learning about sets and matching and patterns and all that good stuff. He also enjoys getting to write in a book, which I don't know that I'm thrilled about, but I guess my job is to teach him which books he can and cannot mark! Nice clear pictures, and manageable exercises for a preschooler; I'd think this book would be great for home-schooling, and for starting conversations about other things that match the categories and pictures.

with some help a 4-5 years old kid can overcome most of the challenges while having fun and learning new stuff.
This is a good collection of activities that require the kid to determine the relation between various objects. Basically all need some sort of grouping based on a common denominator. It has numerous small activities in which two out of three objects are similar to each other and the remaining is different (fore example two animals and a toy) . A slightly different variant of this task is also common in which the reference image is given as a big one on top and the candidate items are listed below and the kid needs to find those that are related to the big one. I think these type of activities make up over half of the book and they require the kid to be familiar with a lot of concepts. I guess a 3.5 or 4 years old can go through most of them but a younger kid would really struggle unless a parental help is offered. The later activities focus on finding the odd items in a context such as a butterfly with snorkel in an ocean picture and they require thinking more conceptual and are a little harder to complete.I think with some help a 4-5years old kid can overcome most of the challenges while having fun and learning new stuff. You can try it on kids that are younger and they can do some of the activities but it is best to know where to stop since kids can get discouraged when they feel they are not able to achieve something...

Great book!
I ordered a few of these books. I am just repeating the review under all of them because they are all great. I used all of these books to teach my daughter at home instead of paying for preschool. I also used other hands on things to teach. These books helped a lot. She is now in 1st grade and a straight A student. When she entered kindergarten they gave a test to see if she was ready....she had surpassed their testing. These books along with other one on one teaching will really help you either homeschool your child or help your child if they need help in a particular subject. They are totally worth every penny paid for them.

Great Purchase - Easy Fun & Education!
Bought this for my 3, almost 4 year old. She's pretty verbal so I knew she would enjoy naming the animals and telling why they did not did not belong. It's simple enough that my 7 year old can help out if she needs assistance. It also generate easy successes on each page. Great purchase.

Great first workbook for 2-3 year olds
It's a great book to start doing "homework" with younger kids who are yearning to imitate their older siblings. The concepts are easily understood and progression of difficulty is done well and works for the younger set (2-3 year olds). Overall enjoyable and a good book to take for airplane rides.

Great book
Almost done with the book, using to prep my 4 year old for the NYC G&T test. Also, works well to teach logic and common sense. It might too easy for my 4 yr old but it's still good to go through the pages and have him give me the reasoning for his choices.

Does it belong?
I got this for my son to use on long trips and at home when bored. The books are thin, but it says they have only a few pages in the description so no surprise. Also bought them since they are cheap, the only complain would be that I got this with the 4-for-3 promotion and I never got my $1.40 deducted, but it's only 1.40 so that's no big deal. I like that the books are full color. Fast delivery, arrived in good condition(these came in a box with other books).
