Great charger
This is my second or third charger for my Descent MK1. It works just as well as the original or any of the earlier replacements. I expect many years of service without issue.

Waste of money
This thing doesn’t work. It will connect for a brief second then nothing. Don’t waste your money. I had to buy Garmin brand after this. Pay the small amount extra for quality.

Works but I was hoping it would be smaller.
This works as intended. It clamps on easily. Those of us with the Decent MK1-2 know that the cradle either Garmin or 3rd party is a pain to seat. This is easier to seat and should be good for travel. The most travel friendly ones are the ones that have a cable that disconnects from the cradle. Allowing you to really just need the cradle and use your own usb charge cable that you dont have to fold up with the cradle. This one the clam is not small and I would not want to bend it too much. I wish they made the cable shorter. It works and we can see how durable it is so far the watch has outlasted all the chargers MK1 from Late 2018.

Get an extra charging cable BEFORE the one you got with your Garmin breaks!
And your original WILL break. I’m telling you…it will! There’s weakness in the design of Garmin’s charging cable that makes that inevitable: the hinge pin on the jaws is only a tiny piece of plastic away from failing. But it won’t fail while you’re at home, days – or even weeks – away from your next dive. Oh, no; it will fail when you’re on a dive trip in Belize, out on Ambergris Caye, diving every day, slowly but surely running that charge down. And to save your dive trip you’ll grab a long strip of electrical tape, and you’ll attach your (jaws-broken-open) charger to your dive watch as best you can and then you’ll wrap that sucker up as tight as you can get it, and you’ll hope against hope that the jury-rigged lump of tape and electronics will hold together long enough to get at least enough of a charge to save your dive trip. And it will – barely. (Whew! You were worried; admit it.) Do you really want to go through all that aggravation? No, you do not, so get an extra cable. Go ahead; order it now. You’ll thank me later – when you’re in Belize.
