Learn Chinese with Me vol.1 - Student's Book Paperback – Student Edition, 1 Jan. 2003

I have only just started using this so cannot give it full review but the CD gives you lots of ways to practice speaking and writing with exercises to complete. It is aimed at high school students so the initial vocab has lots of school vocab rather than vocab you might need on a visit to China. One of it's best features shows you how to write characters if you need to know this.
