Just something fun, would except to much
These are fun, great purchase, burns well, colors are vibrant (flames seems a bit edgy). Overall would purchase just for the fun of it.

Colored Birthday Candles better for low light use
Forgot to grab candles at the store and needed some candles by the next day. Amazon came through for me.I wasn't looking for some crazy candles that don't blow out, just needed some that would look good on a cake. These looked good and I knew the colored flames would be something new and a hit.The candles are thin and small so they can be brittle and burn quickly. The flame starts off really small so you have to let them burn down a little. You can see the colors if you know to look for them. The colors would not stand out enough to notice. Some colors are better than others. These are better for low light or in the dark. I wouldn't recommend for daytime use if you are buying them for the colored flames.

Slight tint of flames
Candles are nice, don’t drip any wax and the holders are good. The flames are slightly tinted but not super colorful.

Pretty but hard to light and smoky
These were beautiful candles, but definitely had a few issues. First, some of the candles didn’t fit securely in the holders. Thankfully I didn’t need them all, and enough fit that I could use them. Then, they took forever to light. Each candle probably took 10-15 seconds to really catch. Then, when they were blown out, they were very smoky. Like we opened up the window so the smoke alarm didn’t go off, then I took the cake back in the kitchen under the oven hood fan while I dunked each candle in water to snuff them out completely. Not sure what’s different about the wicks. I wouldn’t say don’t get them, they really are very cool looking. Just be aware of the issues too.

The colors burned the color of the candle. Worth the extra, little extra.
