Dell Optiplex 7010 Business Desktop Computer (Intel Quad Core i5-3470 3.2GHz, 16GB RAM, New 480GB SSD HDD, USB 3.0, DVDRW, WiFi, Windows 10) (Renewed)

- Ordered from SKYTECH USA LLC- Received machine, USB WIFI dongle, keyboard, mouse, and paperwork. No SSD box.- Had Windows 10 Pro installed. No problem running configuration steps.- Installed Linux Mint 19.3 64-bit. Everything worked after install (did not try wifi). No problems with the DVD, sound, display, or networking.- Really fast, judging from the install speed of the Linux distro.- Video works just fine for my needs (youtube, Web, email, etc), but I'm not a gamer.- There was a little white dust on the outside, but the unit was otherwise clean, inside and out.- There are two free PCI (-E?) slots inside the unit, but the power supply is small (200 W?) and there is very little space inside. I don't know if a video card could be added, even an older one without a fan.- The machine is very small. The size of a large laptop, but thicker.- The "AST" keyboard and mouse are very "thrifty", but they work just fine.- Very quiet machine. Unless there is dead silence in the room you can't even hear the fan.- If I get 3 or more years out of it, I'll consider it a good buy.- Liked it so much I bought a second one for my Wife.

I just received this Dell Optiplex 7010 yesterday (bought as a gift), but I am more than pleased. This is the fastest computer (best specs too) that I've ever owned (I'm a laptop user primarily) and for around $210 I don't think you'll find a better value. It has a 480GB SSD (solid state), so the 'spin rate' in the specs shown for the hard drive is actually for the DVD since SSD drives don't spin! This SSD drive is SO FAST compared to older spinning HDD drives. One minor hitch, I saw the USB dongle when I unpackaged, but wasn't sure what it was, so didn't install it in a USB port. Turns out it's the wi-fi USB adapter and if you don't put it into the computer, you won't be able to reach the internet (without an ethernet cable) and without internet connection you won't be able to get through "set up". Once I put the USB wireless adapter into the USB slot (it has 10 USB's including four in the front!), set up took only a couple of minutes and the set-up instructions were not necessary at least in the version/installation that I received. I installed malewarebytes and ran a full scan... no issues... also updated and scanned with Windows defender... no issues. This desktop is a very small form factor, quiet and sits either vertically or horizontally. I am using a VGA cabled older monitor (it has a VGA port) and that works fine but it also has two 2 Display ports and I've ordered a display port enabled monitor and I'll edit this review if there are any issues. I also haven't tried the DVD writer yet, but everything else I have tried works great, task manager shows no memory or CPU issues when running tasks, etc. The computer case has a few "imperfections" but nothing that should bother anyone on a refurbished computer. I love this computer and would buy it again in a heartbeat!

We needed to replace three slow computers at our business. I spoke to an IT friend of mine and after learning what kinds of work and programs we ran, he suggested getting a factory renewed/refurbished. I hadn't personally purchased a refurbished computer before but he said they were great and only suggests refurbished to clients, especially knowing there is a 90 warranty through Amazon. Since you'll know if there are problems with the system within the first days of working with it, that sold me. They may not be absolute top of the line and on the cutting edge of technology, but they were also only about 1/4 of the price of a new, middle of the road Dell.Though we've only been using them for a few days, these towers are very strong, fast and powerful. I can have several internet browser windows, Quickbooks desktop version, spreadsheets, and documents open and they all perform exceptionally well.The only company support I've needed was in regards to shipping. They originally showed a wide shipping window so I didn't know when they would be coming. I wanted to have the computers changed over before the end of the year. I contacted customer service through Amazon and asked for a tracking number. It came the next day and showed the computers arriving within the next couple of days.If we run into problems with the towers or with the technical support from the company, I'll update this later. But as of now, we are very satisfied with our purchase.
