This product is amazing. So easy to use, and top quality. The brand name is a little misleading. Minwax is not a wax product. They have all different wood finishing products. I will say be careful on prices. There are two different suppliers offering this "pint" of tung oil for $75. Outrageous! Lowes has is for $11.

I have one specific piece of furniture that I use this on. When I was a newlywed, my husband and I splurged on a custom made oval shaped parquet dining room table with four spindle back side chairs and two arm chairs. It's beautiful and I guess we are not the only people who think that since visitors usually comment on how attractive and unique it is. It has a walnut finish with a satin topcoat which is somewhat porous.After it was delivered, I was given a can of tung oil and told to polish it periodically to keep it looking good. I've been doing this faithfully, but due to unavailability of the original product I ended up buying this product.This tung oil does a great job, but I do use it a little differently than directed. I apply a thin layer of it on the table, its pedestal base, and all the chairs. I let it seep into the surface wood for 6-7 hours and then I buff the furniture with a soft clean cloth. The furniture glistens and leaves this lovely patina on the surface. I do this every 2-3 months faithfully and my furniture looks as nice as it did when it was new. I also use this on a cherry wood bedroom set and an oak and teak bedroom set that had a tendency to look sort of dull and dry. The results are the same.I doubt that this is necessary for composition wood furniture that has a high gloss finish, but it works wonders in solid wood furniture.

I came to this site to learn about what your Mini Wax Tung Oil is made of, but there is no description.Would you please add descriptions of your products are made of?My brother was very impressed by the glass sheen I was able to obtain with Mini Wax. His own experience is; The stuff I used is 100% pure (no distillates, a "nutty" smell, not like varnish) and takes literally weeks to cure.What is the difference. I generally only use Minwax products for staining and finishes, etc. But I have used other tung oils, and when applying the Minwax tung oil I noticed that it seems to go on a little easier, it never gets sticky or gummy. The finished product is very nice.
